These are very sturdy tools and, although we just purchased them fairly recently, I'm already feeling confident that we will not see any rust. Please note that the tweezers are fairly stiff and will require some pressure (work) for delicate operations. The case is well done and the tools seem to me to be professional quality. My logic was that I'd rather invest the ~$50 in tools that will last than potentially have to replace cheaper tools regularly. I would recommend these if you have the budget to look ahead.UPDATE: After using these tools for a few weeks, we found that although they are purportedly made from stainless steel, they will quickly rust in certain areas if you do not carefully dry them after each (wet) use. Aside from this minor maintenance issue that we did not expect, they remain a well constructed, professional-grade set of tools, with which we are still pleased.Prospective purchasers may want to note that due to the solid construction of these tools, they require more pressure than cheaper tools (e.g., to close the tweezers or operate the scissors). My (petite) wife sometimes finds them a bit difficult to use because of this, but I like the sturdy feel and control the rigid construction provides.

I'm mostly satisfied with the quality of this set for the price. The tools are weighty, substantial, and don't feel cheap. The finger-holes for the scissors are rounded off and comfortable to hold. They aren't incredibly sharp but should be more than adequate for plants. The "leather" case is nothing extraordinary, but about as much as one could expect, and definitely convenient.The reason why I knocked off a star is because the curved tweezers were positioned such that they actually punched a hole through the carrying case. The tools were not arranged as they are in the product photos. In fact that product photos seem to depict a different product. The spatula, for example, has more of an equilateral triangle shape than the product images suggest. The scissors come to more of a rounded point and aren't nearly as "stabby" as depicted. Additionally, all of the tools are branded with an "Apollo Brew Supply" (?) logo. This set seems to be one that anyone can slap their brand on and sell as their own product.Overall, I think the product meets the expectations set by the price tag.

High quality stainless steel nano tank tools. Once you set up your smaller aquariums, it becomes a real pain in the butt to stick your hands in the tank for any maintenance, dead animal removal, or planting upkeep. Additionally, keeping your hands out of the tank reduces the potential for introducing contaminants into these sensitive ecosystems. I try my best to keep from entering or disturbing my tanks, and this tool kit has just about everything you need for that purpose. The tools themselves are well made and heavy in your hand. They are long enough and thin enough to reach into the tightest corners. They come in a nice zippered carrying case. I shopped around a little, and for the number of tools you get plus the case, you can't beat the price. They are expensive tools, but I am satisfied with their quality and utility for the price I paid. No complaints. It's a great product.

I was unwilling to spend a small fortune on aquascaping tools I would seldom use, so bought these based on the price and reviews here on Amazon. I was very, very surprised at the quality of the tools when I took them out of the case to set up my aquarium. These are really very well made and will certainly last my lifetime if taken care of. I rinsed them off after use and dried them. Case is relatively well made and certainly appropriate for the price range and durable. I don't have anything negative to say about these, and would highly recommend them to anyone...I can't imagine spending more and don't know what that money would buy or add if I did want to spend it.

I do love these tools. I just started a few months ago in the planted tank hobby and I do not regret this purchase. They have a quality feel and a brushed surface. I have used each of the tools in this set and they are holding up quite well. I was a bit concerned about the scissors as I have read reviews on products in the same realm as these having jagged edges in the finger holes but these are quite nicely made and comfortable. I do have to say that the holes in the scissors are not very large and may not be a choice if you have larger hands, but not a hangup for me and fit comfortable with my hands. The scissors cut clean and quick to minimize damage to plants. The tweezer ends are cut for a grabbing surface and care should be taken depending on what you are handling that too much pressure is not used. I am planning on setting up at least 2 more tanks, another at home and one at my office. These tools will be commuting with me for maintenance.

This is a great set. The tools are all sturdy, and feel good in the hand.The case is nice - it isn't amazing, but it's sturdy enough and does it's job without being ugly. The case and tools are stamped Apollo Brew Supply. I'm sure there's a story in how a brewing supply company came to be selling aquascaping tools, but I don't know it. I'm sure you can pay two or three times as much for a set that says API or Amano, and whose case is a work of art, but the tools will be the same as these.

Very high quality. I really enjoy this set.I couple things I would change:On the scissors, both sets, add a middle finger brace to help grip them better. I find when I am getting around other plants, they can kind of slip, esp and I ally if they are wet. The edges on the flat parts of the spatula are quite sharp. I sanded them down to get rid of the sharp edges.Other than this, excellent product. Would definitely buy again!

First impressions, very impressed with the size and quality if the tools. We'll see how they perform.UpdateWhile these tools are great quality, especially given their price, they are a bit too clumsy for the planted nano aquarium. The tweezers are hard to close if holding toward the end of the gripping area, and the scissors are a bit difficult to manipulate.
