The Power Of One

I've got this book more by chance than purchased it intentionally (quotations are usually not nearly my cup of tea in the world of reading), but it tells the timeless truth by its simple words. So, in our modern world, when simply to remain a human is already almost a miracle, I'd rather read this kind of book than dive into the propaganda of the newspapers which often teach us to think stereotypically... It was probably a good sign to have it in my hands yesterday, facing emergency, because now I'm preparing to organise some help for the disaster area and it make take several days, so I feel a kind of spiritual support and encouragement to do my best. My respect to the author.

I'm a big-time volunteer and am always trying to get others to jump on to acts of kindness. However, just about EVERY popular list of acts of kindness out there, is mostly bs. Filled with ideas that you don't actually WANT to do. Or ideas that sound cool but aren't that EFFECTIVE. Or ideas that you CAN'T do unless the right opportunity magically jumps up at you (for example, help someone change their tire!). This book, on the other hand, is full of good ideas. I am happy with my purchase.

All of Steve’s books are fabulous! Inspirational, heart gushing, and motivational. Steve’s words give you another perspective or a different lens to see things through.

The book is filled with good reminders that are beneficial. The idea is that you can come up with ideas or things that will improve you gratitude to others and self. If you don't know how to do that today then this book might be a good tool to use. Simple practical tips that you can use and do, the question of course will you try something new to make your life or someone else's life better.

What if everyone did at least one kind thing a day ... Every day? Steve Maraboli gives us some great ideas on how to do so in this book , like #281! I'd love to see more from this author .... Especially videos! Let's make the world a little nicer ... And let's make each day a better today ... And while we're doing so, let's remember to thank one particular New Yorker who is leading the way!

This book is quite disappointing. It would perhaps have made a good journal article but not a good read for a book.

Very simplistic book. There are much better books out there. This is a case where the cover promises more than it delivers.
