Because Eagle Eyes give them the edge in safety and performance. Eagle Eyes feature patented triple lens sight saver technology developed by NASA scientists! They are the most protective; brightest sunglasses in the world utilizing technology based on how eagles find their prey from great distances. They block 99% of all dangerous blue, violet, and ultraviolet light, giving you the very best protection against problems that can be caused by sun and glare: headaches, eye fatigue, snow blindness, and more serious degenerative conditions. Ordinary sunglasses darken and reduce visibly. Eagle Eyes make everything appear clearer and brighter even in haze, rain and snow. Yet your eyes are comfortable. According to Kelly White, Fire Department Battalion Chief, Eagle Eyes improve visual clarity, they are lightweight, comfortable to wear and they look great. Lenses made in the USA.

Great Sun Glasses
These glasses are much better than anything else I can find at stores. I was slightly disappointed because I was hoping for something that did not darken things much at all and that still blocked glare and harmful UV rays. These do darken things somewhat but they also change the color of things and give the "darkness" a vibrancy that other sunglasses do not. That is the only way I can really explain it. I'm sensitive to low light indoors or outdoors. For that reason I only wear sunglasses when it is extremely bright. I am able to wear these a lot more than ordinary sunglasses. Perhaps one day there will be a way to block all harmful rays and glare that will not darken things at all. Also, these are built very well. Nothing about them feels cheap. The hinges are excellent and the fit is excellent. They also come with a nice soft carrying pouch and a hard case. The hard case barely fits the glasses but I don't plan to use it anyway.

Man, those TV commercials can be annoying, but I needed a new pair of sunglasses for driving mainly, and I've always used polarized lenses, so I decided to take the plunge with some As Seen on TV Eagle Eyes to see if they were worth the fairly reasonable price tag these days.I'm happy to say I'm perfectly pleased with them. They really DO brighten things up when driving and eliminate glare very well, better than any other polarized lens I've tried (admittedly, I've only really worn cheap polarized sunglasses before). These Eagle Eyes really have increased view distance for me, and where I find them hugely useful is in rainy conditions where it still remains reasonably bright -- a common phenomena in Northern California -- the Eagle Eyes are awesome in that kind of inclement weather. They also help you see better through other drivers' windshields and tinted windows, so I think they might help me be a safer driver even, but I'd say that improvement in 'safety' is negligible of course. There are a few caveats though, and these are mentioned in the leaflet that comes with them. If you're keen on color distinction, these are probably not a great idea... I have a hard time distinguishing blue from green when I'm wearing these, and in fact, the LED traffic lights in California all look a strange blue-green shade with these on. So I think the Eagle Eyes are good for driving, but maybe not other purposes where color distinction is really necessary. And if you drive a Volkswagen (for example) with blue lighting on the dash, I'm guessing that could be a problem too.Still, I'd recommend these. For just a few more bucks than a bog standard polarized pair of sunglasses at Target, these work a lot better. I really would like to try some expensive quality polarized sunglasses one day, but seeing as I always end up sitting on or breaking the sunglasses in the car, these work well for daily driving use so far.

They're good but they have some issues
I use these all the time. I prefer the color blocking far and away over standard "gray" sunglasses. In standard daylight, they give great contrast. And at night when driving, they give clarity while blocking the worst of the headlights of the oncoming traffic. BUT... we have an LCD screen in our Prius. It's hard to see the screen because, I guess, these glasses are polarized. If I roll my head a little towards my shoulders, the screen turns black. So, I'm constantly taking them off to look at the car's monitor screen.

I love 'em. They do what sunglasses are supposed to do!
My Dad introduced me to these glasses years ago. He ordered a pair and didn't think he would like the "yellow" color so he gave them to me. Little did I know that these glasses would be the best sunglasses I would ever own. I can work outside all day wearing these and my eyes don't hurt or bother me at the end of the day like they did when I was wearing dark glasses. I would recommend Eagle Eyes to anybody that spends much time outdoors, whether working, playing, driving, etc. Don't let the color fool you.

Great sunglasses for the price
These sunglasses are not normal sunglasses. What they do is take out part of the blue - violet spectrum of light. This is the part of the spectrum that is hard on your eyes. So what you see when you put on the sunglasses is yellow tinted. It is not a darker image like regular sunglasses. But you will find that you squint much less than regular sunglasses. They work as advertised. They fit nicely and look pretty good for having yellow lenses. You end up seeing things much more clearly since you don't have to squint. Just keep in mind that the color reproduction is not accurate. If you need to see blues properly, don't get these. I would recommend these sunglasses, just make sure you know what you are getting, don't expect normal sunglasses.

Eagle Eyes I Fell in Love with Instantly!!!!
I put on the Eagle Eyes Sunglasses-Extremes and I loved them instantly. Just had cataract surgery, 1 year ago with lenses, and I do not have to wear glasses to drive. Regular sunglasses just do not do it for me. They seemed cloudy. The Eagle Eyes have been a wonderful surprize, and I will be purchasing another pair for our 2nd car. Just love love love these glasses.!!!!

As seen on TV, but no gimmick
Optically these are great, I picked up a pair in the late 90s and have worn nothing else since. I do with they lasted a bit longer, I've worn out more than one pair by the rubber ends dry-rotting and falling off. They're impossible to find locally too, only online. I've tried several other sunglasses over the years but always end up ordering another pair of these online. Despite the hassle, they're worth it.
