Bought this for someone who has a canjo...so funny

Fun, easy, instrument. I saw this in a catalog and found it is as advertised.A simply made, easy to play dulcimer like instrument. I would recommend itFor those who find guitars or mandolins a bit daunting.

This book will get anyone playing their canjo with familiar songs. A canjo is a one string instrument made from a fretted wooden neck, a can, and a guitar string. Anyone can play a canjo with this follow the number song book.

Actually, I'd give this book 3 and 1/2 if I could. It's OK and the pictures are cute.I'm glad I bought it BUT...Before I bought this I emailed the authors asking if there would be words that accompany the "tabs".And I got a "YES" for a reply.But there are 32 songs in this book with only 16 with words for the tabs.I was especially looking forward to the words for "Bile dem cabbages".This was slightly disappointing but I am happy that 16 tabbed songs had words.A minor item for the next book revision would be to move Greensleeves out of the Christmas group as Greensleeves was written by Henry VIII as a love/seduce ballad for Anne Bolyn ("Alas, my love, you do me wrong...") who had wound up with greensleeves on her white blouse after Henry had pinned her down on the grass. And so on... Later, around the American Revolutionary War, Greensleeves was very poplar to sing while drinking in bars. And then Maryann Faithful cut a 45 record of this song in the late 1960s, sung in the original way...BUT NOW, ON 7/18/17, I HAVE AN ADDITIONAL COMMENT. PLEASE OPEN THE ATTACHED JPEG...

Worth the 2.99 I paid. That's about it. Expected more songs
