Best Counting Activity for Children
Yes! I am so glad I was able to find this. This is hands-down the best number practice for children for a few reasons:+ the quality is high+ the numbers are magnetic and won't shift around on the board as the child completes it+ comes with two sides -- one side with all the numbers written out for more beginning counters and the other is a blank 10x10 grid for more advanced kiddos+ one thing I really like is that magnets 1-50 have a white bottom and 51-100 have a black bottom. It is incredibly easy to just glance over it and see if something is in the wrong spotOverall, the price is totally worth it and it's great quality. Be aware that as you first start doing these, they may involve a degree of parent involvement. My suggestion... make it a game! Work with your little one a few times to fill the board and you'll be amazed at the results. In the beginning stages, you should see a child trying to go "in order" -- they will start by trying to find magnet 1, then 2, and so on, and put back pieces that are not the next in line. As number fluency and pattern discovery kicks in, they will learn to count down the rows and across the columns and place any piece they pick up. This is a MUST for parents that want to be sure their kiddos have totally mastered counting.Don't waste your time on gimmicky things that don't work... this is the one you want.

Grandkids are ages 3-6 and all really enjoy it. It helps to do it with them ...
This is exactly the same product used at Kumon centers. Grandkids are ages 3-6 and all really enjoy it. It helps to do it with them and point out patterns. For the 4 year old, I start by opening board to just 1-50 (top half, with board folded in half), then sort 1-50 from 51-100 (they are color coded and easy to sort). Then as we talk, we spread the numbers out on the table. Sometimes I sort them by groups of 10 and we each take a set. Takes about 10-15 min. There are harder levels to add later. The back side of the board is completely blank.

Great number practice
I love it. I saw this at my nephew's kumon class and wanted one to practice with them at home. This works very well in helping kids learn their numbers and number sense. The kids like to race or be timed while playing with this so they tend to practice more.
