Best fresh coffee you will ever drink.
If your a coffee lover you’ll love the Jura S8. It is so easy to make the best coffees you’ve ever had. We use it everyday and the milk drinks are awesome. I’m a diabetic and now I can make my sugar free coffee drinks anytime I want. Glad we purchased it.

Dirty secret
Jura is hiding dirty secrets. You can not buy any repair parts from them. You can not get it cleaned and serviced by you or a local shop. But if you dare to buy a special screwdriver from China, or ask local shop, you would be horrified by the moldy mass inside the machine just after a few months of not cleaning.

My best Jura yet.
I’ve owned Jura coffeemakers for the last 22 years and the S8 is the best machine yet. I’ve always loved the ease of use and the quality of the coffee. For the serious coffee aficionado, there is nothing to compare.

Time and money consuming maintenance
I had great expectations, despite reading some negative reviews. The coffee/espresso features are excellent. I also drink milk based drinks, mostly cappuccinos, here is where the maintenance becomes a full time job. The minute you make a milk based drink, the machine will ask you to clean the milk system. This requires Jura's detergent, and in my experience two containers of water (only one is provided) to complete the cleaning cycle. After you finish your coffee making, you will be required to empty the machine of the grounds and water accumulated on the tray. Overall a 10 minute daily chore.I tested the WE8 model before returning it and ordering the S8. The adjustable frother works as long as you test it, using 1% or 2% milk, to achieve your level of froth/creamy result. All on in all, after spending the $3,000 price tag, you will look at around $50/month in filters and detergent to have the machine working. After numerous calls to Jura, a live session, and chats with the seller, it was clear that if the above steps are not followed you will run into issues. The milk glass container comes with one connector (I ordered additional ones, since I am sure they will not last) and it seems odd that the only connector provided goes into the glass container but not into the frother.I am fastidious about the cleaning, so hoping this will continue working well.Still on the fence about this purchase, reason for the three stars in lieu of 5.Jura customer service is hit and miss, condescending at times, and if you are lucky, good occasionally.

Good not great
Quality machine. The grinder is a bit of a waste. We got a new one because the grind was inconsistent and it was hard to scoop out the grinds. Makes wonderful coffee and lattes. Would recommend but you’ll need to get better accessories even though it comes with many.

The best
I am 70 years old and began drinking espresso and the likes back in 1969, so I'd have to say I am an aficionado on coffee'sI've owned PROFESSIONAL espresso and coffee makers while in business and to date I've owned about 7 household machines. Saeco, Gaggia and a few others, always going back to Saeco, not for reliability but for flavor..I've only had the Jura S8 for a very short period and I'LL NEVER GO BACK TO ANOTHER machine.I did a lot of research before my purchase and I took the leap of faith and I am glad I did. Makes some of the best coffee drinks I've had without going to a coffee shop.As far as endurance I cannot yet vouch. I'll post more on the matter in a year.So far no regrets. I do believe in this case, you get what you pay for.

Beware this machine will cost you
The water tank developed a hairline crack after five months. That's when you find out how much of this machine is not under warranty. It's going to cost you $100 when this happens to you. The filters are $30 apiece and they do not last for 30 days, there are two other chemicals that you have to purchase to keep this unit clean. It will cost you well over $300 just in maintenance per year. The touchscreen is a very low quality, sometimes an error message comes up telling you to take your finger off of the screen when you are not even touching it. Sometimes the the unit will pick something you don't want while your finger is on the way to the touchscreen. Not what I was expecting for $3000, high price low quality.

Over the years this is the best and my 3rd Jura. However, they overcharge US customers.
Nothing to dislike about the S8 . . . great coffee maker
