Huge book
I haven’t read the book yet but it’s huge, but in a good way. It’s about the size of It in comparison. The only thing I find annoying is all his newer books basically have the same cover or dust jacket. There are slight differences sometimes in what’s on it but it’s the same font and color.

Amazing book!!!!
I won't go into the synopsis here because there are already a bunch of reviews with it. I will say that I read this book the first time when I was about 14 or 15. I started it on a Friday when I got home from school and I read all weekend long and finished it before I went to school on Monday. I have since read it at least once a year since then, i am now 45. I have also watched the 90s miniseries at least 10 times and watched the new miniseries as soon as it came out. This story never ceases to grab a hold of me and won't let go till I finish it. It is the best!

Whew! - it’s heavy! But, I love it!
I love it, but…it’s so heavy for a paperback. 1152 pages- I will need to find a way to prop it up! 🙂This time, the Kindle edition is a wise choice. I will get that, too, I guess!Love this novel! His very best❤️

Stephen King with a Cautionary Tale
The Epic Scale happened during his Tansition between, physical typewriter, (write 10 pages a day, and stop,) to a word processor. (With no clean stopping point.)As a result his stories grew in scale, often resulting in Several Unrelated/tenuously connected stories, hard to follow plots. The Stand maintained its plot, and motivations of characters, were fleshed out.I don't believe he could have, accomplished this goal, without the convenient timing of the home computing boom.Epic Read.

never disappoints
I first read this is 1978 and again in 1990 with the unabridged release. Still an amazing story. King is the king

You Need to Read This Book.
An outstanding book. Very hard to put this one down but too big to read in one sitting.

Yes - the extended version is worth the read!
Read the original version, and now the extended. Both are wonderful tales. This one, the extended, actually fills in information that was good to have. I feel I know the characters better. The Stand was always a favorite. Now, it is even more so. Kudos to Stephen King for publishing this the way he intended. Fabulous read and well worth purchasing a second copy of the book.

Page turner
It took a while to read, but it was worth seeing through to the end. I had to re-read a few places, to try and keep characters straight in my head. Every time I thought I could guess what happened next, I was surprised. I would recommend this book to all who enjoy reading a long suspense filled story.
