The store where I used to purchase French Dressing jeans went out of business and I needed a pair of denim colored jeans, the little bit of elastic went in both pairs of my jeans. I was hesitant to buy any jeans online that I hadnt already tried before. I had bought several pairs in black from Sierra Trading Post, the boot cut and I have put them away for when the black fades, which it does even in cold washing. In the blue color I was desperate to find new jeans.i ordered 4 pairs online and with this pair I hit a winner. I’m only 5’3” and the length is only a drop long but not enough to bother to hem. I’m usually between sizes 4 and 6 lately. That changes with only a slight weight gain. I ordered a 6 which is a drop big. I’m thinking of getting a 4 as well for when I lose a little weight. If you’re as conscious as I am about the jeans fitting I can vouch for these. At my height a 4 lb fluctuation in weight means a size difference. I’m older in my 60s and have had 3 different sizes in my closet for as long as I can remember. When younger I would never have bought any jeans that weren’t 100% cotton and wanted them to fade to a better color. I’m a angry at myself for cutting my last pair of faded all cotton jeans to shorts when I had holes in them. They would be so much in style now but I love them as shorts. So if you’re not much taller than me these are great. I have found Amazon customer reviews to be very helpful so I felt a need to write this long kind of personal review. I just looked to buy a 4 and reliized that the smallest size is a 6.
