Love this EAP line of Access points
I initially bought an outdoor eap235 and and indoor eap225. They have very potent setup choices and are easy to handle. Powerful signal too.I now have 10 of this EAP, including the wifi 6 models EAP6xx.Can highly recommend them

Very reliable and affordable
While this AP is very reliable and affordable out of the 5 I have installed I haven’t been able to get the full 1000 foot range they advertise

GOOD ACCESS POINTS
INSTALL 3 ACCESS POINT AROUND MY PROPERTY IN CENTRAL AMERICA, I BELIEVE SPECS SAY 300 METER (600 FT) OF DISTANCE FOR WI-FI RANGE, BUT IN REALITY THEY ARE GOOD FOR ABOUT 80 TO 100 FT AT ABOUT THIS DISTANCE MY SPEED DROP FROM 100MBPS TO 50MBPS, BUT FOR SECURITY CAMERAS AND HAVING WI-FI ACCESS ON PHONE WORKS GOOD ENOUGH, I DID NOT USE THE 120VAC POWER SUPPLY INSTEAD ORDER A TPLINK POE SWITCH TO POWER ACCESS POINT AND SO FAR AFTER 3 WEEKS THEY HAVE WORK FLAWLESSLY, WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED IN THE MONTH TO COME.

Hit or miss
I do a lot of wireless camera system installs, and for the money, these work well enough. I usually buy the new ones versus refurbished, but this time I decided to buy refurbished. Not worth the hassle. The setup is simple and easy, which is why I like these, the wifi signal works well enough, and installing them is very straight forward. They come with everything you need in the box. One of the refurbished ones I got however, was missing the bracket to hold the poe power adapter. This one unit in particular also had a major problem, which annoys me, because it has delayed my job and I now have to climb up two stories onto a roof to replace it once I get the replacement. The issue I had was the 2.4 ghz network refused any clients to connect. It would show up and be visible, but the moment you would put in the wifi password, it just refused to connect. It would not work for the wireless cameras, nor would my phone connect to it. My phone connected to the 5ghz band fine with no issues, however since the wireless cameras only work on 2.4ghz, this caused me a major problem.I ended up ordering a brand new one and will be sending this back. for only $7.00 difference, why buy the refurbished one when you have no idea what you will get. They came in brown plain boxes, but had all the inside packaging correct and the units themselves did not have a mark on them. The only downside to these is the wifi range is not as good as it should be. with two external antennas, the signal should be strong up to at least 200 meters, yet I find the signal is nowhere near that. Throughput is fine with a strong signal, but these are really only good for about 60 to 80 feet maximum. You would think if they around mounted outdoors, they should get great range, but I find they just fall way short in that department. For the money however you cannot get anything that is as easy to setup, configure and install as these. Sure I could go with another brand, but these are so inexpensive, I continue to buy them. With a strong signal, throughput is excellent and no problems with getting the most speed possible, but I would happily trade speed for range.I've installed tons of these in outdoor areas, that see a ton of sun, occasional rain, and they have not had an issue due to weather exposure. If I have one gripe however, is the system should be able to download and install firmware updates within the app. WIth the one I had that wouldn't connect on 2.4 ghz band, I could not update the firmware at all. not sure why. I downloaded the firmware for the correct model and version, and I simply got an update failed message.Perhaps you need to use a laptop to do the firmware updates, because via the web interface and my iphone It would not do it. or these are shipping with a firmware that cannot be updated. I don't really care about updating firmware as much if they work out of the box as they are always used strictly for wireless cameras. If TPlink can figure out how to improve the range, then they have a nice wifi unit that can go anywhere.the omada app is simple and easy to setup. I always connect to the existing wifi, plug these in, open the app and go to standalone AP and they show up and when you select it, it runs a wizard to configure the admin account and wifi name and password and boom thats all you need to do. I wish the omada app on the iphone had access to all the features, because it is severely dumbed down, though I don't mind that so much since All I ever really want to do is setup the wifi name and password anyway and don't have a need to delve deep into settings. The web interface is simple and easy to use, and has access to tons more settings and options you can adjust.Overall, I like these, don't love them, but for the price I will continue to use them since 95% of the time they have no issues doing what I need them to do, except in the case of the one I just got that had a fault with the 2.4 ghz band.

Love these things!
I use 4 of these around my Homestead to keep connections all around my place. They're reliable, but not quite as Raintite as I would like, so I install them under eaves and they work great!

Small but mighty
I used it for outside mesh with EAP610. This EAP225 was behind a triple sealed window at about 90-100 ft away from EAP 650 and it still gave me solid speed through 1-2 concrete walls in a different building.
