I don't use these as "spool huggers" at all, but to secure the extra fabric to my embroidery hoop while I'm stitching. Usually, I will have to tighten the hoop repeatedly while stitching, either by pulling the fabric taut, or by repositioning the hoop itself. I've discovered that I don't need to tighten the fabric while one or two of these is attached to the hoop...a nice little benefit! I highly recommend this product for it's intended purpose, and also for holding extra fabric in place while stitching.

Since spools are different sizes, these large covers do not let you see the color of the thread.

Easy to use, but when used on larger spools had a tendency to stay stretched out somewhat. Doesn’t effect the the products intended use. Hold thread as designed.

Very good to use when I have a large cross stitch project. I hold the fabric with these onto my Q-snap.
