Recently, I stumbled upon a challenging task: removing the stubborn residue of duct tape from the exterior of my father-in-law's car. Anyone who has dealt with this knows how daunting it can be. After trying various products with little success, I found this spray. Skeptical but hopeful, I gave it a shot.To my amazement, the spray exceeded my expectations. With just a few sprays, the gel clung to the residue, not dripping off like many other liquid solutions. After letting it sit for a few moments, I began to wipe. The residue, which seemed like a permanent fixture on the car, started to dissolve effortlessly. The process, which I anticipated would be laborious and time-consuming, turned out to be surprisingly quick and effective.What impressed me the most was the lack of harsh chemical odors. Many cleaning products leave a strong, lingering scent, but this was pleasantly mild. Additionally, it didn't damage the car's paint, which was a significant concern for me. The spray not only tackled the duct tape residue but also worked wonders on other hard-to-remove stains and marks on the vehicle.Using this product turned a stressful situation into a satisfying cleaning experience. I needed this for my motorcycle tank. Maybe I just had a stubborn sticker with insanely good adhesive but it took me more than 5 tries to finally get the majority off after letting it soak significantly longer than the recommended 5min.I let it soak for 10+ min each time. one of those times was closer to 20 min because I was working on something else and lost track of time. This product never dried up once during that time. This product smells good but is very oily and got everywhere!I finally got the majority off but still have some adhesive on the bike because I gave up for the night on trying to get the adhesive off. Had other things I was working on more important than a little adhesive.So yes, this product works. Just takes multiple attempts and a lot of scrubbing. I guess its worth it because it is safe on paint/clear coat. Just nowhere near as effective as goof off but goof off is not safe for car paint.

Goo Gone Automotive is working well in removing areas of adhesive from Gorilla Tape from the roof of our Honda Odyssey. Our Sunroof was broken by an object that flew from the top of a logging truck while we were on vacation. We had to use the Gorilla Tape to secure a waterproof covering over the area until we could get home and have the repairs done. The attached photo shows some of the tape goop that is remaining, we have already removed an amount equal to this. We did have to apply Goo Gone (following instructions on bottle) twice before we got a clean car roof. Also has to use a plastic scraper. It’s still a work in progress (It’s 100 degrees outside) but I am very sati#died with this product!

Removed about half of the grease stain on the car paint. Will apply another treatment and hope for more complete results. If it works better on the second treatment I will update the ratings.

Easy good product gets rid of grease and sticker stains.

We tried this on several areas of the car. We followed the directions on the bottle. Product was totally worthless. It didn't clean anything.

The product is very oily! Try to use paper towels or even gloves. Spraying directly on the surface will immediately drip down the sprayed area.
