Great Product
Being older it is important to take the active form of CoQ10. After doing research about different brands this one came on top. Great Product

If you take statins
If you are on statins, it is important to take Ubiquinol. If you are over 40 - you'll want to get the "Kaneka" Ubiquinol for better/faster absorption in your system. Very few other brands (if any, at this time) are offering the 300 mg dosage - so this is very convenient. While this is a bit pricey but you are getting a higher dosage and large quantity. So IF you are unsure about investing this much money and/or need this much in dosage - consider starting out with another brand and lower dosage. I've taken other brands and usually double or triple that dosage of that brand, throughout the day to offset "some" of the side effects of taking dangerous statins. I will soon be coming off statins (thankfully) but am so thankful to have learned this product would at least protect some of the muscle damage that statins can do. I can't speak to the effect of minimizing the damage to your lungs, stomach, brain/memory that statins have been linked to - but this product has allowed me to get out of bed without feeling like I am 105 years old, barely able to move.

Looking forward to longer-term benefits
I’m not an expert, but I hear that as we get older, we need to consume more of the supplement to make up for the natural decline that occurs over the years so for me, this was the right dosage and a highly recommended source of this product and absorb ability is supposedly really good so I have started taking this. I understand it can take a while for the benefits to completely show up overtime, but at first here, I can say there’s no negative consequences that I’m experiencing and so look forward to the longer-term benefits that I will see from this.

This is my most important supplement and favorite brand of Ubiquinol that I take
This is my most important supplement and favorite brand of Ubiquinol that I take. It's not a cheap brand, but Healthy Origins makes a top quality Ubiquinol supplement. They are big horse pills. Some say they aren't. I have a husband who can't take large pills, and this is one of them. The smaller milligram doses are about the same length but thinner. If you've ever taken a statin, Ubiquinol is a must to keep your brain and heart healthy.

BIG pills
The only reason I gave four instead of five stars is that these are HUGE pills and difficult to swallow. I wish they would work on the formulation to make them smaller. Otherwise they seem fine.

Have been using this for a long time besides normal CoQ10
Ubiquinol is the active form of CoQ10. If you are having benefit from CoQ10 (which is a must in good dosages if you take statins, and may also benefit some for low energy) then you may want to try this as an add-on too. Good dosages of CoQ10 can be achieved by purchasing the powder from Bulk Supplements and self-mixing it with good quality olive oil. I personally mix 15 gram of CoQ10 with 200ml of Olive oil, and then take about 3 squirts of the bottle each day, which is likely something like two tablespoons. People are generally too afraid to take therapeutic dosages I find. On the other hand, things need to be build up slowly, you can't overload a system in poor health. Read VERY SLOW if one is just starting out. This is not medical advice. Do your own research.
