Tronolane is the very best treatment for hemorrhoids. No sting! I suffered for months until this product became available through Amazon.com Tronolane relieves modest discomfort and itching without becoming habit forming as do harsher ointments. PrepH is worthless. Apply with gloved finger. Kimberly-Clark PurpleNitrile Powder-Free Exam Gloves are the best. I used to buy both products from Walgreens ... now the only source for both is Amazon.com It you suffer severe itching or pain, I suggest Americaine Hemmorrhoiidal Ointment for shorter treatment periods ... then shift back to Tronolane ... or nothing if all goes well. Further, I might mention Surgilube, surgical lubricant. Apply with gloved finger after bowel movement to clean the internal anus and outer area. Tucks Medicated Pads are helpful at this stage also. Dab not rub. Hope this helps. I've had the operation and have avoided a second operation by following this care for 50 years. Also, a daily slice of Brownberry Natural Wheat bread is part of the regimen (their loaf of bread is double the weight of any other bread ... 1 pound 8 ounces for 19 slices). A very tasty whole-grain bread. Further, one teaspoon of sugar-free Metamucil at each meal helps add bulk and soften your stools (available through Amazon.com).

I have used this item for years. Suggested the item to other family members, friends and co-workers, which have sometimes ask me to use mine. This item is better than others which stings when applies. This item doesn't stings, it comforts the area and treats it. I have used this item when I was in the hospital and the hospital medicine got me sick and this item was the only thing I used. I would recommend it to anyone. Couldn't find in Jewel/Osco, CVS or Walgreens. I'm glad I found it. Don't stop making this item.
