The Scarecrow: A Heartwarming Picture Book for Autumn and Halloween About Unexpected Friendship

This children's book is STUNNING! The quality of the hardcover, book jacket, and pages is of the highest quality material I've seen. I thought it was so cute that the inside of the book jacket had a denim and patch printed hardcover. The story is beyond sweet. And the illustrations are so beautiful. I can't wait to share this book with the disabled adults I care for.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ If I could give this 10 stars, I would! My new favorite! Anyone who has ever read “Night Lunch” should love this book. The story is about love and caring between two unlikely friends, as was “Night Lunch.” The illustrations are lovely. I highly recommend this book to those gentle souls who love a good story.

This is a precious story that I bought for my grandkids. Who knew a scarecrow could be the one to rescue and love a crow?

I bought this book as a harvest type of book for my little one thats a year old. (Hes too young for this book). But I did get this after reading a review that described it as a beautifully written song/poem & that this is a must have. Well. I nearly cried it was so beautiful of a story. The illustrations were perfect too. Who cares if my kid has no real clue just yet lol I'll read it whenever. Its that good. Its worth the hype & all that. I'd gift this book too.

This is an excellent book for teaching central message and character traits. I read it to my first grade class as an introduction to fall and the changing of the seasons. My students fell in love with Scarecrow, who is loving, kind, helpful, selfless and patient. This book is written as a poem and we were able to feel and empathize with Scarecrow. As an educator, I enjoy books that teach empathy, kindness and love towards all creatures. When narratives make us feel empathy, it connects to humanity. I highly recommend this book to teachers and parents with children in Kinder through third grade. Although, I could see older students enjoying this book as well.

Beautiful story about what's expected and unexpected in nature, and an unlikely pair becoming friends through every season of life. A charming, gentle pull-at-your-heart-strings kind of read.

Lovely, soft, gentle images. Great illustrator. Large pages. The perfect book for a child who is scared of scarecrows, such as the ugly ones at Halloween.
