This is a great car seat!
We bought this car seat after I extensively researched safety. This is top of the line when it comes to safety and side impact. This carseat is serious business with the steel bars, etc. We have had this seat now for about 5-6 months and there are many things I've grown to LOVE that I didn't even know about when I purchased. (1) I feel that my baby is super safe (2) they have little velcro squares on the straps which is SUPER Helpful for parents when they're putting the baby in the carseat, you can actually push (and velcro) the straps out of the way. (3) I read it was easy to install but it truly is! (4) The strap cushions are at the right place that they prevent rubbing on my baby's sensitive skin. The only downside, is that in the rear facing position, it sits quite angled in my SUV (I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee) and this makes it hard to get my baby in & out without bumping his head :( After a few months of angling him in, its become second nature and we love this carseat WAY better then the other one we bought for another car. Great purchase!

This seat is simply the BEST on the market!!! Read why....
I love this car seat! Britax makes the best and safest car seats period!!! This seat is super easy to install and adjust. With a push of the button you can adjust the head rest heigh/straps and also another push of a button to adjust the recline. It's not complicated at all. It has the latch system to install. The adorable feminine print is a huge bonus. The fabric is nice and keeps my baby girl cool. I have great peace of mind knowing she is very safe in her Britax car seat. The only real downfall to this and other britax products is it does not come with a cup holder you have to purchase it separately.

We had the Briitax B-safe Bob infant carseat and loved it. However my 8 month old was already getting too big for the infant seat. This Britax Advocate VIBE carseat was new and on backorder on multiple websites including Pish Posh Baby and Buy Buy Baby. Due to the inflatable rear seatbelts in my 2015 Ford explorer I could only use a convertible carseat not the new "click tight" system that Britax came out with. After researching, Britax and Chicco were the only 2 brands that are approved to install with inflatable rear seat belts. This carseat came to my doorstep, free shipping, 2 days after ordering it. It is one of the safest carseats on the market, was relatively easy to install and is roomy while rearfacing for my child who is above the 97%tile in both height and weight. The straps dont get tangled and are easy to click into place & tighten. It also has a clicking sound on the strap to tell you when it is at a "safe tightness".The only negative to this carseat I can see would be if you have a smaller car it may be too wide/bulky. Otherwise it is perfect!

Safe, but large
I use this in my 2011 Toyota 4Runner and my daughter uses it in her Honda Element. I have it in the back on the passenger side so that I can load & unload my grandson from the sidewalk, not the street. In the 4Runner it creates a large blind spot. It does leave more room for the front seat to move further back than the Britax B-Safe base and infant seat. Federal recommendations are to keep children rear-facing until the age of two. At one year old, my grandson's feet are hitting the back of the seat, with no room to grow. It seems like the only way a rear-facing car seat would work is if the back seat reclined away from the child's feet -- then it seems like it could be front-facing with the same safety results. My daughter feels safe with this car seat.

Caeseat maker asleep at the wheel
Harness buckle is attached backwards so no way to buckle harness without twisting the strap, something you're advised not to do. Someone was obviously sleeping during construction. Otherwise a great product. The first one we purchased had no defects, beautiful, comfortable, and working reliably.

Ridiculously big
Those giant plastic air bubble ears on the side are HUGE. This is not a seat for a car with more than one child. We exchanged this seat and went with the clicktight marathon. We also have the pioneer.

The advocate is great! I have had the older version for 3 years and my daughter who is now 4 1/2 is still riding comfortably with lots of room and still has 5 or 6 inches of height left and will not reach the weight limit as she is 38 pounds now and 41 inches. I think the height limit is around 48 inches but is an average. If your child is longer torso then they will outgrow quicker and vice versa. This seat fit great in our old 2005 nissan pathfinder rear facing(didnt leave much room for the driver but i didnt have any issues at 5'5". We now have it in a 2013 armada forward facing and there are no space issues at all. My daughter was able to rear face to 4 years old but turned her forward about 3 1/2 when we got the new car. She was still ok and comfortable even though people often commented that she should be forward facing at her age. Research shows to those who don't know that rear facing as long as possible is the most safe. We should still be able to use this seat for another year or more which will bring my daughter to 5 or near 6. This may be on the older end for sure of using a 5 point harness seat but if shes comfy then im ok with the extra safety! Shes small and seems unsafe to me to get a booster for her when her very awesome 5 point harness seat still fits. My 15 month old gets to use this new version and i know the expensive cost is worth it because she will get many years use out of hers as well.
