looks cool, straight, durable as all get out
Keep in mind that when it says "flat" in the description, what they mean is that the rings are flat. As in, no angle. As in, these won't go in a Gibson style guitar with an angled neck. I put these in one of those Danelectro U-52 rereleases as part of a humbucker upgrade. Which, by the way, sounds pretty surprisingly awesome given the hollow body of that thing. So anything with a bolt-on, straight neck mount these'll be fine. If it's got a tune-o-matic bridge, stay away.Second, they are, in fact, metal. As in, heavy. They aren't made out of neutronium or anything, you'll still be able to pick up your guitar. But they're significantly heavier than the plastic rings. I kinda liked that. They felt a lot more secure. I had to worry more about the masonite stripping out underneath than the pickup rings cracking from screwing in too tightly. The pickups mounted really securely in the rings. I used PAF-style covered HBs no problem. Looked really tidy.Lastly, they didn't come with mounting hardware. No screws at all. Make sure you've got screws. No screws to mount with, no screws or springs for the pickups. If you're swapping out one pickup ring for another you'll probably be able to harvest those from the old ones. If it's for a new project that didn't previously use mounting rings, that's an additional cost and resource you'll have to keep in mind.Overall, it looked cool as hell so that's the most important part. Gave the guitar a kind of retro, atomic-age vibe, since I put on a short Wilkinson ashtray bridge as well.

Bad finish
They had scratches and inconsistencies in the chrome. I'm returning them.

Nicely Chromed Metal Pickup Rings! Nice fit, and, finish. Real Fancy!
These Metal Pickup Rings are well made, and Nicely Chromed!I put them on a 2020 Imperial Blue, Squier Mustang HH, with the original Squier Mustang Humbucker, in the Neck position, and, a vintage (NOS) DiMarzio Dual Sound/Super Distortion, in the Bridge.Nice fit, and, finish. No problem fitting either Humbucker in the Rings. And, the adjustment-screw holes lined-up, too. These Chrome Rings look nice! Real Fancy! As I said, they're well chromed, they arrived in good shape, and not all scratched up.I also added a custom White Pearl Pickguard, and, Transparent Black Speed Knobs, too.BTW, you'll need 4 chrome pickguard screws per ring,so, you might want to buy a 50-count bag of screws, while you're at it, too.Have Fun.Peace

Fits squier contemporary tele RH perfect
One has a slight imperfection but I only needed one anyway and the price was good. No idea why there are various sizes of these things.Might try and install over a pickguard, I'll add updates

Thinner than i expected & i had to do some fileing to fit an active EMG. Otherwise they did the job

Not quite.
I have been on the hunt for new pickup mounts for a Jackson RR10XD. Since the ones that came on the guitar got busted while in the shop. These are the only ones that actually would have been low enough profile to fit, especially the neck. First off I have read some of the other reviews and knew going in it would be hit or miss.It was a miss. Now to start these do not come with the mounting screws, which wasn't a deal breaker since I had the ones that went to the other mounts. I can confirm that the mounting holes are not spaced correctly, actually the entire ring is a few millimeters off. It's a bit wider than the stock rings, so you're going to need to put some extra holes in the body to get them to fit. They don't hold the pups correctly and the neck pup sits at an angle now that it didn't used to. They also have play in them. Now with a the spring tension you can expect some movement, but these rock like a chair. So I'm still on the hunt for some rings that actually fit. If you're curious why a 2 star instead of a 1 star. Well they hold the pups in the body. So that's something.

Very Thin
Another very thin ring. Probably best as a topper for an existing ring or for strat type/bolt on guitars without the high neck angle of a Les Paul/other set necks where you typically need to raise the pickups higher towards the strings. You could literally stack 2 of these on top of each other and still not achieve the height of most traditional bridge humbucker rings.

Perfect on a Carved Top Tele
Used these to mount Seymour Duncan P-Rails on a Mahogany body Tele w/carved maple top. Indonesian build, so everything is a bit off when it comes to size. Filled the existing mounting holes with toothpicks and cut them off flush with the top. No sanding and the rings sit flat on the top and cover the toothpicks. Also used on another Tele that was a new build, worked perfectly. Look great, work as they should. Exceeded my expectations.
