In 2025 I had not one of my kids in a cast, BUT TWO 🫠 the first one was a mid arm cast the second one was a full arm cast 🙃 When I tell you these things saved my sanity I am not kidding lol Kiddo #1 was casted 8 weeks during prime summertime. We started off taping trash bags and plastic wrap 👎 learned real quick that wasn’t going to work! So we came across this product, THANK GOODNESS! It works great, kept the cast dry and these kids were in the pool, shower, ocean, alllll the things! Just be very careful putting it on and taking it off! This really is a great product!

My kid broke her arm 2 weeks before our beach vacation and her orthopedic doctor recommended this cast cover. It works great! It feels like a thick balloon. My kid said it gets a little sweaty under the cover, but no other complaints. The instructions say to wear for 30 minutes at a time. She comfortably wore it up to 2 hours while playing at the beach. We are going on to week 4 with the cover and not a single leak. It’s been used in the bath, the pool, and the ocean. We used a silver permanent marker to draw scales on it—she calls it her fin. UPDATE: I wanted to update my review now that we’ve finished using the product (and the cast is off!). The cover made it 5 weeks of daily use before it got a pin hole in the upper part that secures the cover to the arm. My daughter’s teacher at summer camp was putting this on her, and I suspect she may have poked the hole with her fingernail. We were able to patch it with flex seal tape to get it through the final sixth week. This is the best cast cover. It’s simple to use, comfortable to wear, and seriously waterproof.

Definitely MEASURE your child's arm before ordering this product. My son is 11 and I ordered the child's 4-7 size, which fit him perfectly. We had a waterproof cast, but you are still not supposed to submerge them in water for long periods, so I purchased this cast cover for extra protection. This product WORKS VERY WELL if used correctly - we figured out that you had to make sure the rubber was completely extended up the arm and smoothed out at the upper end. Any rolling or crimping at the upper end and the water tight seal may not seal completely. The rubber is TIGHT at the final 2 inches or so on the upper arm - no way around it. I'm sure it has to be this way to create a water tight seal. It takes some getting used to and is not 100% comfortable. My son had to take "breaks" from the product by removing it for 20 minutes or so, then he would put it back on. If you read the package insert, it actually states you should not wear it for more than 60 minutes without taking it off and resting the arm a bit. HOWEVER, with all that being said, this product is a godsend. How anyone could rate this product terribly based on comfort is beyond me. Your child has a cast and you want him or her to play in the water. It is not the ideal situation. But this product allows you to make lemonade out of your lemons. My son broke his arm in gym class TWO DAYS before we were supposed to go on an extended weekend trip to an indoor water park. The trip had been planned for months and involved another family. I was faced with the prospect of him having to sit on the sidelines and watch the other kids have the time of their lives while he sat without being able to participate. Thank goodness for Bloccs and Amazon 2-day prime shipping!! Thanks to this product, my son was able to PLAY at the water park....IN A CAST!!! That is incredible to me. He rode EVERY SLIDE (the glove part of the waterproof cover is sort of like a mitten - I'm not sure if he put his thumb in the thumb part or not but the rubber is soft. My son was able to easily grip the handles of tubes, pool ladders, etc - he had no trouble gripping or using his covered hand), he could SWIM, he could completely SUBMERGE HIS ARM in the pools, he had a BLAST. Was it perfect? No. Would he have preferred not to have had a broken arm for the trip? Absolutely. But that was beyond our control. THANKFULLY, this company had a solution for us. Our vacation was saved. My son had a grin on his face the entire time! As a mom, there is nothing better than that! I would highly recommend this product.

Buy it!! My 7-year-old daughter broke her wrist four days before her pool party, and we were so worried she’d have to miss all the fun. We gave this sleeve a test run the day before—no leaks at all! On party day, she swam for hours and her cast stayed completely dry! The seal is snug (as it should be to keep water out), and while it was a little tight at the top, we just shifted the position each time she wore it to make it more comfortable. It helped to have two people gently stretch the opening while she slid her arm in. It worked like magic and saved one very sad kiddo’s birthday/summer. She’s 7 and the size Medium fit perfectly.

We bought the BLOCCS waterproof cast cover for my 17-year-old daughter before a 10-day overseas vacation that involved daily swimming in pools and the ocean. It worked perfectly the entire time, no rips, no leaks, no stretching out. She was able to be fully submerged in the water every day without a single issue. The most important thing I want people to know: follow the sizing instructions exactly. Don’t assume that teens or adults automatically need an “adult” size. I measured both myself and my daughter, and we both fell under the “Child Large” size. So measure carefully and go by their chart — not by age or body size guesses. Also, putting the cover on and taking it off needs to be done carefully. It’s not something you want to yank over the cast alone. We always had someone help her so the latex didn’t get dragged or torn. That extra caution helped the cover last the entire trip with no damage. Bottom line: if you measure correctly and treat it carefully, this product is worth every penny. Total 5 stars from us.

This thing is pretty cool! Keeps my daughter’s arm completely dry so that she can hang in the pool and lake even with an arm in a hard cast all summer. It DOES make her hand sweat. Which make sense, it’s sealing in everything and sealing out water. Also she had one for about 2.5 weeks and it got a tiny hole in it and then just ripped open. Thankfully she wasn’t in the water. I returned it and got another. That was frustrating to deal with not having one for a few days while waiting for the next to come

Worked great for my 7 year old son over his cast at the pool! No leaks and he wore it for 2 hours. Very durable and easy to put on and take off.

Wie eigentlich immer bei uns hatten wir Stress: meine Tochter hatte sich den Arm gebrochen, allerdings wollten wir 3 Tage später in den Urlaub fahren. Also Urlaub absagen oder es durchziehen? Wir entschieden uns für letzteres weil meine Tochter unbedingt wollte. Aber was ist ein Sommerurlaub ohne baden im Pool und im Meer? Wir hatten erst überlegt einfach eine Plastiktüte über den Gips zu machen, aber das war uns dann zu unsicher. Wir waren so froh dieses Produkt hier bei Amazon gefunden zu haben und haben es via Prime am nächsten Tag erhalten. Es dauerte nicht lang bis wir den Dreh raus hatten und den Protektor innerhalb kürzester Zeit anbringen konnten. Die Größe passt wie angegeben. Er schneidet am Arm etwas ein, ich denke das ist normal weil er ja dicht halten muss. Wir haben hier in den Rezensionen gelesen dass er nicht sehr langlebig ist, was auch normal ist weil er ja so eng wie möglich bleiben muss. Wir haben also 2 Protektoren bestellt und konnten einen nach dem Urlaub zurückschicken, einer hat für uns wunderbar gereicht. Der Protektor hält absolut bombensicher das Wasser fern und schwimmen macht trotz Gips Spaß. Es ist angegeben, das man nicht länger als 30 Minuten damit baden soll, aber diese Zeit haben wir regelmäßig um ein vielfaches überzogen und trotzdem ist alles gutgegangen. Das Ding hat uns wahrlich den Urlaub gerettet. Sollten wir einmal wieder in diese unglückliche Situation kommen werden wir hier wieder bestellen. Könnte ich 100 Sterne geben würde ich das machen. Super tolles Produkt, klare kaufempfehlung.

This thing really works (at least with a polymer cast). Keeps cast dry in a pool and on water slides. Saved our vacation.
