G100S 30W Portable Voice Amplifier with Microphones

I used this for socially distanced and masked rehearsals in a park. I was concerned that having even more wires and straps would be an issue, but I quickly forgot I was wearing it. I was able to communicate clearly and with much less effort. Having the speaker on my person helped my singers/actors to know where I was and when I was addressing them as we moved around. I tried it with the mic both inside and outside the mask. Both worked, and I adjusted according to what we were doing. Sound quality was fine. There’s a faint hiss. The unit was easily accessed and operated in my pocket, on my belt, or on the strap, so I could switch to a more private conversation quickly—just turn the volume down. Battery life was excellent.The mic is connected to the unit via a wire. This means the unit has to stay on you, but I had no issues with wire tangles and the weight of the unit didn’t bother me. I was moving around a fair amount and didn’t have any trouble with the head/neck set or the speaker unit bouncing around.

I bought this product because I needed a louder device especially for outdoors. Unfortunately, the battery life hardly lasted 12 hours. Initially, it lasted about 3 hours (on and off throughout the school day). Now, it doesn’t even last 10-15 minutes. I’ve to have it plugged into the outlet when I’m in the classroom to use it. I’ve gone back to using my old device even though it may not be as loud as this one.

After trying out the zoweetek 10watt unit (students gave it a unanimous thumbs down for volume), and further Extensive research, I chose this G100S gigaphone model based on Amazon and Tech mag reviews. Sound clarity is clear inside my classroom, but doesn't seem to carry/extend quite as far as I'd hoped outside.I try to maintain distance between the mic around my neck from the unit clipped on my purse, but several times a day it suddenly squawks when I turn or sit down. I remind my students that it hurts my ears as much as theirs! LoLHaven't figured out how to prevent that yet. Still experimenting . . .Will update this review with more usage data after testing outside during class relay races.Overall I give it 4.5 Stars, paid $148 + $29.99 4-year asurion insurance plan.

This is worth the money, trust me. I paid $160 for it, so be carefull, do not pay like $300 for this thing (I've seen it as high as that). It comes with a myriad of microphones options, just over the top pleased with it's performance. There is a little white noise when the volume is up. Sort of what you get when you buy a cheap guitar with cheap pickups and plug it into an amp, that hum noise.. I keep my volume on medium. For me, the noise is not enough to say I am not satisfied with the product, or stop using it at all. I also bought a wireless radio frequency transmitter so I can walk around the room and talk with amplification. I highly recommend that, too.

As soon as I took the product out, plugged up the mic, and turned the volume up not even half way it started feeding back with the high pitched feedback sound. I fiddled with it for 5 minutes at different volume levels and it consistently gave me that same loud screeching feedback noise, particularly if the volume was halfway up or higher. Not to mention you could not hear my voice well through my K95 COVID mask. Lousy product. Very disappointed. Waste of my time.

I was blown away the minute I opened the box! The packaging was very impressive and secure. There was even a personal thank you card from the CEO of the company enclosed!The product has exceptional quality and sound clarity. I especially appreciate having several microphone options to choose from, since I am a choir director and need my arms free to direct. I also like the small size of the unit itself. The leather case and carrying bag are also included and a nice feature.I would highly recommend this product!

The volume control is badly designed. It makes this sharp, unbearable noise when the volume is too high but the volume control has no level indicator so it’s hard to know how much you can turn the volume up without having to play around with it every single time which makes it hard to get a consistent volume level. Gonna return it

I am a music therapist who works with senior citizens. I purchased this product to be able to accomodate the changes with engaging in facilities during COVID. The Gigaphone gave me ability to sing from outside into facilities(with face shield and social distancing). This unit package comes with several microphone choices. The small speaker has decent quality sound nice and comes with sturdy leather case. It has been the solution to my music therapy singing session situation.
