Ok, so my reasons for buying these little bags were a bit unconventional. I am primarily using them in our butterfly garden, along with slightly larger purple mesh bags that I bought here on Amazon. And, I'm using them for multiple things, which I'll get to in a minute. They are pretty, quite sheer and have these really nice little ribbon closures that I find easy to open/close. And, they're cute! Best of all, despite looking delicate, they are actually surprisingly durable. And, if they can hold up to my needs, they can hold up to most uses. So, what am I doing with these bags, you ask? First of all, I'm using them in the garden to protect butterfly eggs and small caterpillars from predators like wasps, lizards and birds, as you can see in the attached photo. These bags are sheer enough to monitor the eggs/caterpillars though and to let enough light hit the plants to keep them green and healthy. Despite this, they are sturdy enough to go through numerous rain storms without much visible sign of wear at all. The plant seen in the photo is a Florida native lime plant, which has seriously wicked thorns. Despite this, I have yet to put a single hole into any of these bags, even though I've caught them on the thorns a few times while putting them on and removing them. They also look really cute in the garden, providing a little extra color in areas where we have less flowers at times. Perfect! Second, I have found that these little bags are fantastic for storing seeds from various plants in the studio, as they allow plenty of air in to allow them to dry out and keep them from getting lost. I especially love them for drying seeds from our Jatropha gossypiifolia,. The seeds from this tree burst open upon drying with a loud pop, sending seeds as far as 20 feet away that are almost impossible to find. Since I've been drying them in these bags, I no longer lose them, which is fantastic! Finally, I also use these bags to store small art supplies in my studio to keep them from getting lost or misplaced. You are not going to lose something in a bag that looks like this. Trust me! lol. If these little bags can hold up to the use and abuse that I put them through, they most certainly will work well as gift bags or for storing other light items. They are surprisingly versatile, very affordable and so cute! I would have no issue buying them again. Why did you pick this product vs others?: They actually cared to count; there were really 100 bags! I used these for free gift bags, and they were a huge hit! I ordered everything in quantities of 100 so I needed all 100 bags to be there. Super happy with the quality; will be ordering these again in the future! Lovely bags.

This was the perfect item for the party gift bags. It was big enough to place a few goodies inside and closed up nicely. It was well made and did not look cheap at all.

These are great for putting potpourri in and it will not leak out. Great for putting in your drawers and hanging up in your closet once you put potpourri in. And you get a ton of them for a good price.

I used these in my garden to deter the birds and bugs from eating all my figs, plums, and peaches. They worked great on the figs, but were just a hair too small to protect the peaches once they were getting big. The quality on some of the bags were questionable- the stitching wasn't aligned leaving holes in the bags or the ribbons weren't completely secured so the bag wouldn't close properly. Overall I'm pretty happy with the purchase as they were affordable and I didn't need all 100. If you were to use these as they were intended like or gifts or favors and needed 100 exactly you'd likely want to order more than you need to ensure that each bag is of quality.
