About two weeks ago, the aircast I was wearing was causing my back to hurt due to the way it was forcing me to walk. I sent for this support in a Medium but it was too small. I then ordered a Large and it fit beautifully. I would say my ankle, when swelled to the maximum was around 10". I sprained both the inner and outer ankle sprain and since I have a history of Plantaar Fasciitis, I wear it with custom orthotics. The Large was perfect and because one night I didn't rinse it out until very late at night, it wasn't dry in the AM. So I ordered a second Large. It's working great and for my condition, the lighter support was fine. I have a condition the doctor calls, "Overly Sensitive Nerves." I call it being a real pain because I can feel every wrinkle or seam in anything I put on my foot. When I tried a support we had here in the house, I could feel all the wrinkles in it and it hurt my arch. The Neo G didn't bother me at all. I even put it on with my slippers and it still didn't make my feet too hot. And it has no seams whatsoever to irritate one's foot. I highly recommend it! Update - 4-27 - Still wearing these supports and they still haven't stretched out. I suspect I'll be wearing these supports for a long time and I'm so glad I found them. Review: So it was not the most useful. I found this brace/support on desertcart and I ... - My 9 year old daughter twisted her ankle and we could not find a youth sized ankle brace at any of the large chain drugstores. We bought an adjustable one (i.e. one size fits all) which worked but when wearing the brace she could not fit her foot into any her shoes due to the bulkiness of the size. She also dances and the adjustable brace would not fit under her dance shoe. So it was not the most useful. I found this brace/support on desertcart and I choose it for a few reasons: 1) it was available in various sizes and gave very clear sizing information so we knew which size to order for her (she is petite for 9); 2) the price was very reasonable; and 3) it is very thin---like a sock or compression hose but very strong/supportive. My daughter wore this brace for about 2 weeks under both school shoes and her dance shoes and it worked great. She said it was supportive but also comfortable. This was a great find and I would purchase again if we are ever in need!

My Ankle is Happy
I'm currently on crutches with 4 more weeks of them on the horizon. I purchased this product as my "good" ankle was getting fatigued from hopping around on it all day. I sometimes wear tall compression socks but with temperatures touching 100 degrees those were way too hot. This ankle support is great for what I need. I can wear it with open toed shoes or with a sock over it when I wear a sneaker. The color is just right and doesn't make it scream, "LOOK AT THIS ANKLE SUPPORT I AM WEARING!" This is great because my other leg is currently screaming, "LOOK AT ME, I AM WEARING A GIGANTIC FRACTURE BOOT!" Perspective. It is nice and cool and has helped the fatigue in my good foot and kept it from swelling at the end of the day. I wear a size 7 1/2 shoe and have really narrow feet and ankles. A size medium fits perfectly. It is snug, but not too snug, and doesn't fall down (like other short compression socks I have worn). I have been wearing it for a week, and it hasn't stretched out. As a matter of fact, I am going to order a couple more for rotation. If you are looking for something to combat fatigue and offer very mild support this is for you.

Good for swollen ankles. Beige doesn’t last. A bit pricey
I have a lot of swelling in my ankles. I’ve worn compression socks for years but I’ve switched to just ankle sleeves. I own 8 of these ankle sleeves (4 black & 4 beige). I wear these almost everyday in both ankles. They are the best I’ve found that hold in the ankle to avoid swelling but don’t hurt or cut into my calf. First, the BLACK IS MUCH MORE DURABLE than beige. Both sets of beige are falling apart, stitching coming undone and ripping. The black also seems more supportive. I’ve worn both equally and the black top seam is just showing a little separation after about 7 months They easily fit into my shoes with ankle socks and they stay put-no rolling down or moving around. So yes I will keep ordering because I haven’t found anything better. But I think the price is high for what you get and the fact that they just don’t last (especially beige).

Better than doctor's knit support that dug into my feet, not as supportive, get one with straps for more support if needed
I was given a large beige support by the doctor when she suspected an ankle sprain that had not resolved after five weeks of taking it easy and some RICE initially. That support dug into my foot and ankle wherever there were bulky seams. This support was MUCH better and totally avoided any digging into me at the elastic seams, it feels way better. But it does not provide the same strong support, probably only 80% as much support as the generic one the doctor gave me (which was about like this ACE Knitted Ankle Support . This support was enough for recovery after a while, but for better support than either of those, though a bit bulkier, I used the Mueller Ankle Support with straps which I found at a local soccer equipment store with the staff giving it strong recommendations. That support from Mueller was great but I switched to this Neo G support afterward for less bulk and easier movement. If you have a sprain you likely need more support than this can provide initially, but it was a very helpful second stage support for my injury after using the Mueller support with straps. Both were dramatic improvements over the support my doctor initially gave me.

No Return Policy
Bought these for my son and the Large was too small. I purchased 2 and neither fit without cutting off his circulation. Tried to return through amazon and had no luck. Now I'm down $30 and still have to find something that works. I definitely would not recommend buying unless you are certain that the size is exactly what you need. I ordered based on the sizing chart but they still didn't work for us.

Very comfortable way to get flexible support
Wow, this is just what I needed for my sprained peroneal tendon! Remaining active while wearing a rigid brace put so much strain on my hip joint that ligaments in that area got inflamed and put me out of commission for weeks. Flexible support is exactly what I needed and this is just the right amount. It's hot and humid this week, and I expected the cuff to be at least a little bit uncomfortably warm, but just the opposite -- my foot and ankle actually feel cooler with it on. I realize that sounds impossible, but maybe has to do with the compression helping circulation (ankle's swollen like an elephant's!). Anyhow, I love it. It's super comfortable, gently supportive (just enough), and the compression is also great since I stand almost all day (can't sit until the hip area heals). If you need a rigid brace, this isn't it. But if you need support rather than immobility, this is a really nice product.

Great compression, mild support
I both badly sprained my left ankle AND broke 3 bones in that foot. After a super-clunky boot given me in ER and an ankle brace bought on Amazon, I wanted to get an ankle support that I could wear in regular shoes (I've been in sneakers since "graduating" to the brace). SUPPORT: This seems like a very good product, and they are honest about it only providing "mild" support. Unfortunately, I need more support than that to keep my ankle stable. It is thin enough that I can wear it under my brace. COMPRESSION: However, it is very good at compression and helped my swelling, even 11 weeks after my accident. At my Monday midday appointment, my physical therapist thought the swelling went down significantly after just 5 hours of wear on Saturday evening, so the positive effects were still noticeable more than 36 hours later. SIZING: Since my ankle measured exactly 23 cm, I wasn't sure whether to go with a medium or large. After reading reviews, I decided to try the large and that was the right decision for me. I couldn't have gotten the medium on, and this was tight enough that after about 5 hours, I was really eager to get out of it.
