Recommend for beginners
My first bow. Draw weight is extremely light, a child could pull it off. Can't be left strung for any lengthy period of time, must be unstrung for storage. It warped overnight and it hasn't been the same since. Need a new string but can't find one the right size. A full draw with a sharp arrow is strong enough to stick the very tip of the arrow into tree bark just enough to hold the arrow there. This bow can not be used for hunting anything, it is a target bow to have fun with. My friends who don't know much about bows all thought it was super cool and had a lot of fun shooting it at trees. It is long enough for me (small person) to sling around my body and walk around that way like some badass Robin Hood wannabe. It looks cool enough to draw attention from people who aren't into archery, but anyone who knows anything about bows is likely to go "PLASTIC LOLOLOLOLLOLLOL" - I highly recommend this for a first bow for anyone. It is well worth the price and I would buy it again. In fact, I might buy it again. Good first choice for someone who isn't 110% sure they are going to become some crazy archery nut - buy this one first and see if archery is really for you. It might be a good enough bow that you won't need to spend $200 on a fancy one.

The perfect starter bow!
I've been using this bow for over a year now, it is my first bow, and it has been fantastic. I wanted to try Archery but didn't want to spend $200+ on a bow just to see if I enjoyed the sport. Well, as it runs out, I love Archery! I've sent so many arrows flying from this bow and it still works great and doesn't lose its strength over time. It's just as good as new and is extremely durable. I am about to buy a new bow and move up in draw weight but I'm so thankful I started with this bow. You won't be disappointed if you start here.

Amazingly accurate.
Amazingly accurate. I did a comparison between this recurve bow and a compound bow with a similar draw weight. The PSE SNAKE had the most amazing accuracy I've ever seen in a recurve. The price was amazing and the seller was superb! ***UPDATE 11-21-16**** I've been shooting this bow at 10pm every night and I'm serious when I say I love how accurate this bow is. I swear by this bow for all beginning archers from ages 14 to even my age 31. This is an excellent bow all around. Accuracy, weight of the bow in general, & draw weight. I have two bad shoulders and even had surgery on my right and I can draw this bow back with either hand. I suggest filling a bowl with water and slapping the water for 2 hours a day, 1hour for each arm. It helps with strength building in the muscles you will use in archery. It's easy, cheaper than weights and your yard will be happy too.

Great bow
I ordered this bow for a Halloweed costume (Arrow). I wanted something realistic but inexpensive. To my amateur archer self, it id a wonderful value. Forty bucks for a real bow? Yes, it is for real. It was easy to string up (the strings come in a separate package, and you have to bend the bow back significantly to get the string on), and it has upheld a lot of tension. I've pulled it back almost as hard as I could, and it never failed. My friends and I had a great time firing off arrows at trees with this thing, and I plan on shooting my neighbor's fence multiple times with it. As someone who has never held a bow before in my life. I can say this bow feels comfortable and can serve my amateur purposes.

great fun for the kids, but needs a different string.
came with unsuitable, much-too-long string.replaced with TradGearArcheryProducts' B-50 fifty-five-inch Dacron Flemish ( twist to tune ) string, it was perfect!NOTE: requires lightest possible arrows, I used (now-extinct) bloodsport 1000 spine carbon arrows with 75 grain points.super-easy to learn for left or right handed people.

Great bow, but it's pretty much JUST the bow.
The bow is pretty cool. After reading all the other reviews I haven't got anything to add. It had the sticky stuff on it you'll read others mention, some Goo Gone or adhesive remover works pretty well. All that you get is the bow, string, 2 right-handed rests, and 2 left-handed rests. To go with it, I got my son a target from Amazon, the block, black one for about $24, a pack of 6 Easton Genesis II arrows, an Easton hip quiver, a bow stringer, a pack of nock rests, a shooting glove (and tab, not knowing which he'd prefer- he actually prefers neither), an arm guard, and some string wax. He is quite happy with it, although we all find the quiver rather awkward.

Solid bow for beginners or even intermediates!
Solid beginner or practice bow! Now first of all, just know that this is a plastic bow and it's quality isn't top notch, but for the price, it is a pretty good bargain! It comes in a matte grayish silver color, but spray a layer of chrome paint on the sucker and you will have turned it into the envy of all your sharp-shooting friends! The string is good quality, which was a plus I wasn't expecting. The drawback weight is only 20lbs, which makes this great for beginners or even intermediates wanting to refine their technique, but less awesome for shooting accurately when wind is present. I bought this as a bow that I could have on hand if any of my friends wanted to go shooting with me and didn't have a bow of their own, as well as a lighter poundage bow to practice with. I am usually right handed, but wanted to experiment more with ambidextrous shooting, so this was a great tool for that! Straight out of the package, it requires a little TLC to get some sticker residue off and get it looking great, but it is well worth it!

This product needs to come with instructions. I received this first time bow as a gift and the fact that I had to go to youtube to find out how to assemble is a joke. The bow itself is decent but my main complaint is that the package came with 4 left handed arrow rest instead of 2 left handed and 2 right handed. This company needs to focus on improving the quality of the product.
