I'm not sure what the manufacturer is asking about by "sheerness," but the helicoils are well machined and of an excellently hard material. I used these to repair an imperial thread of equivalent diameter and found them difficult to position because of the narrower thread pitch on the helicoil. It was the snap off positioning tab which became my sore point, as the hard material will sheer readily and I had to contort the remaining neck to get enough of a hold to finish my rethread. I think the material is high quality, and I'm keeping the set around for chasing new metric holes.

The 10mm bolt uses some thread pitch that's not in my budget tap and die set. If I had known this I would have bought something else that included everything.

Strip treads replacement without spending time to match up diameter of hole, length, and width. Different sizes to match replacement already at the finger tips, just choose.
