Finally....I can see who the hell in my band is taking ALL MY DAMN PICKS!!!!!
Tried and true Tortex greens (.88) are always my go to, whether acoustic or electric....I lose these picks more than any picks I've tried/lost, and I used A LOT of picks in the years I've been playing (Fender celluloid medium and hard, Max grips, ernie ball medium and hard).Thin enough for the heavy playing my band does, soft enough that I'm not breaking strings, or wearing out the coating on phospher bronze strings on the acoustics too quickly. good grip when new, but smooth out over time, which eventually make them too slick to hang onto. Not a problem too often, but it becomes a pain when I'm a creature of habit and the pick is something you never have to think about. Now that there are black ones (I purchased .88 and 1.0), I don't have to find that lil twat-monger that is stealing them from my gig bag/pick bowl...And when I do find out who it is, I'll be thoroughly kicking you in the baby-maker!

I've used these for years.......
I've used the yellow73 millimeter picks for over 20 years. This time around I ordered the tortex pitch black 73 mm picks. It took about an hour for it to mold to my fingers and feel comfortable, but I think that's how the yellow ones were also. However the pitch black one does not seem to have the same texture as the yellow ones did in the past and they want to slide out of my fingers. I had an old Gator group pick that I use the last week or so and it didn't seem to have that issue. But the gator grip didn't come in the exact same thickness as the tortex that I had been used to so I ordered the pitch black tortex. And honestly I wish I had tried to the gator grips that could have been as close to the 73 as I could get, the pitch black are just too slippery. You think these are just flat ,but they really do mold to your fingers. Maybe that's what they mean by memory I'm not sure. You can see in the picture that I included how it's already started to mold one way.

Stays put no matter how slippery my fingers get
I'm by no means a professional guitarist, but even at 44 I still like to immaturely act as if I am when I play in my living room. Bouncing around, spinning, getting really into it. But don't worry boys and girls, only when I'm alone. This spectacle causes my fingers to sweat and because of this holding a pick becomes difficult. I must have tried a thousand picks over the years, but the Tortex is the best pick I've ever used. Great pick attack, perfect bend at .73 and stays put in my fingers no matter how slippery my fingers become. I simply cannot use other picks that are smooth. After bouncing around for 15 or 20 minutes, they just start slipping in my fingers then it becomes a battle to try to squeeze the pick so it won't move which in turn causes me to slow down my picking because I end concentrating on holding the pick and my hand becomes stiff. The texture of the Tortex picks allows a firm grip on the pick while my hand can be relaxed allowing me to have faster picking. I don't even think about my pick hand with these picks.

Great picks.
I got the big pack and been giving them away. There's nothing wrong with them I still use them. But I like the jazz 3 better.

First picks I bought
I discovered after using these that I wanted something thicker but that’s good I wouldn’t of know unless I got these

V good but not sure whether genuine Jim Dunlop
These are very good but I'm struggling to tell if they are authentic/genuine Jim Dunlop! They are too thick for my needs really but I'm new to this and finding my feet so to speak.I find they are great for the electric guitar and are nice to hold. They seem to be very hard wearing but I've not used them long enough to say for sure.I'd love to be able to compare with genuine Jim Dunlop but how do you find these! :/
