A classic
I always give this book as gift for new babies. It is a classic children's book that everyone loves. It is beautifully illustrated and the stories are charming. I still have my original copy from 1961.

An excellent toddler book
This is a great bedtime book. It's warm, engaging, funny, and beautifully illustrated. Highly recommended recommended. I bought all of the Little Bear books on Amazon, and this one is the best. The dialogue in the others is too repetitive and the flow of the story is not as smooth as this one. This is an excellent toddler book. Just make sure that you make the effort to allow your parents to be involved in your toddlers life, otherwise they'll long to have this kind of relationship with their own grandparents.

A memorable heartwarming set of stories
The story of Mother Bear (when she was a cub) and the Robin was one of the stories that really stuck with me as a child and the illustrations in this book, like the stories themselves, are incredibly heartwarming and memorable. There are very few books as unambiguously good for children and families alike as this one and I would also recommend it to any adults looking to de-stress by reading something nice.

Little Bear is a charming little one!
As I read and purchase this for young nieces and nephews, I recognize the soundtrack of my life, and who I’ve become because of the Little Bear books. Kind, nature loving, innocent, playful, from thy bear’s perspective, a timeless treasure.

My granddaughter and I loved this book
My granddaughter and I loved this book. I taught in the early elementary grades for over 30 years and always found that the children loved the Little Bear books. Katie read the book to me and occasionally turned to me with a smile to make a comment about what was happening in the story. Although she can read more challenging text, I think she enjoyed reading at this level which enabled her to be more expressive.Time magazine recently rated the best children's books and included the Little Bear books in their list. I've read the stories over and over again and listened to children read them and have never lost my enjoyment in them.
