I love these bookends, they are heavy & have no problem holding up multiple hardcover books, they have protective feet to keep them from sliding or damaging the surface where you place them, the laser cut out is on point, the black paint looks good, no chipping, bubbling or peeling. The only thing is if it's not placed in front of a light background the cut out lettering is hard to see, to solve this, I had some heavy post card quality white paper which I cut to fit and scotch taped it to the back, now the writing stands out. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase and would buy again & definitely recommend to any Tolkien fan!

These The Lord of the Rings themed bookends are so pleasing to me that I not only bought one set for myself, but also one set just a few days later for a cousin of mine as a Christmas gift. Don't let the sort of small size of these bookends turn you away from purchasing them. They are hefty for their size, and they have four rubber footings underneath each of them to help prevent them from moving when in place holding books. As far as the metal TLOTR characters' silhouettes that are a part of them, they look really great! It appears that these bookends maybe were cut out with a laser for a good deal of exactness. Each bookend is one solid piece. The wording "Not all those who wander are lost" looks great too, but it will take some backlighting if you want to read the words well. Or, you can do as I did by following the advice of another reviewer and cut out a formed shape from white notecards and tape them to the back of the wording to utilize the white of the notecard to see the words better. Whoever it was that thought of that, it is a helpful idea. (Thanks!) In the location I have the bookends, it would be hard to make out the wording without the white of the notecards. These are quality, hefty for their size bookends, and I would recommend them to any The Lord of the Rings fan!

These bookends are surprisingly more heavy than I expected. They hold up to the weight of hardcover books very well. Each of the two pieces have five rubber stops that not only keep them from sliding, but also protect the surface they sit on. I'm perfectly happy with how tall they are. I know nothing about metal work, but these are definitely made of metal and are well made. I'm going to put lights behind each one so they glow at night.

Beautiful! And the quality is superb, very heavy duty! Nice :) These are the same height as the plain black metal ones you would see in an office or library. The characters (people) are small, about 2 maybe 2 1/2 inches high. I put tea candles behind them, oh is that pretty! I myself am not at all disappointed and would buy again or give as a gift. Very nice product. This is an honest review...I have not been paid or compensated in anyway for my five star rating. I would highly recommend this purchase if you are looking for a pretty, sturdy and well made set of bookends. My thanks to the seller for such a nice product. I love my new found treasure :)

Great bookends. Heavier than I anticipated but sturdy. You need the right angle for the image to pop but they’re fine as a conversation starter.
