Wouldn't charge any of my Hitachi 18V Lion Batteries... ordered replacement (that didn't work either)

a clearer description of its capability would have helped.
They should have specified what type of batteries were compatible.. Once I received the item, it stated that it could cope with upto a dozen or so types...but not mine. I'm in the process of returning the item.....I'm willing to exchange it for the correct charger.

Does not 18v Li-ion battery
The HiKOKI HIKUC 18YG 60 minute charger will not charge the Hitachi BCL L- ion Li- ion 18 volt battery. It will only charge a 7.2 volt batteries
