So impressed with this nail grinder! My dog is anxious and doesn’t like clippers so decided to give this a go. Very quiet, stoked his back with it turned on and no reaction, ground all his claws easily and quickly with no fuss while he lay next to me calmly.

The product is very easy to use and the instructions are straightforward. I like the weight of it as it makes it easy to hold it in the hand while shaving down dogs claws/nails. The product is as described in the description of the item. I would say that I would like it to have a light source which would make it clearer when to stop. I think the product is safe to use, haven’t had any issues with it. I also like that introductions include how to get your dog used it, as giving a lot of treats and slowly showing what it is. The colour of it is lovely. It grinds down nails pretty fast, it also depends on how hard you press the nail against the grinder though, if it’s very lightly then it will take a while. Also after a bit of use it starts smelling weirdly during the use. The sound is also pretty loud. My dogs are better with this than a clipper but still not the best as it’s slower than a clipper if the nail is long.

This is a very good quality nail trimming tool. It feels well made and sturdier than I expected for the price, with a solid grip and blades that look sharp enough to handle most dogs’ nails easily. Unfortunately our dog didn’t take to it. He’s very nervous by nature and, despite several attempts and plenty of positive reinforcement, we couldn’t get him comfortable with having his nails trimmed. That’s entirely down to him rather than the trimmer itself. The handle is comfortable to hold and gives good control, and the overall build quality is much better than I expected. We passed it on to a friend whose dog is much more relaxed, and it worked really well for them with no issues. Overall, it’s a well-made product and I’d recommend it for dogs that aren’t extremely nervous about nail clipping.

So easy and quick to use and have no problem as doggy happy with it. Best to let them get used to the sound first and then try - mine didn't bother. This is an up date - only lasted 2 and a half years with very minimal use then it wouldn't re-charge. Shame because it was easy to use.

Nail trims for my 10 year old Jack Russell are never fun. He doesn't like having his feet handled and I'm extremely nervous about accidentally cutting his nail too short, which is stressful for both of us; I can be hesitant about lining up the clipper and making the cut, so he starts to fidget and then I'm even more anxious. I tried a nail grinder a few years ago but I couldn't get near him with it due to the loud noise, which was on par with his sworn enemy, the hoover. I took a punt on this after seeing a video in the reviews, which showed that the grinder was surprisingly quiet. When it arrived, I was immediately impressed by the quality and sturdiness of it, and I appreciate that it comes with an optional guard cap, which acts as a guide for positioning the nail and stops any other part of the paw from accidentally coming into contact with the moving grinder. The most important factor for me was the noise level and I can assure you, this is as a quiet as you'll get. My husband distracted the dog with treats, I used the clipper to get rid of the bulk of the length and, to my shock, the dog didn't bat an eye when I started using the grinder. Going over it bit by bit meant I felt much more in control and his nails are now much shorter and smoother than I can normally achieve with the clipper alone. Overall, I'm really happy with the product and absolutely recommend it.

Does the job if a bit less effective than I had hoped, albeit my dog has extremely thick claws in fairness
