Flavor Name:Coratina From The Producer: Situated in the picturesque O’Higgins region of central Chile, we own 1,500 acres planted with a variety of different olive trees. Our mission is to ensure the optimal delivery from tree to table of our complex extra virgin olive oils for your enjoyment. The process of oil Alonso begins from the search of a land in Chile with the suitable climatic conditions for the cultivation of the Olive tree. Once these lands are found, the varieties that best suit the climate and type of soil are chosen. This is why our field has more than seven varieties to produce oils of the highest quality and for the most demanding palates. In the production process we are concerned to deliver to our Almazara the fruits with the best characteristics so that they begin the process of transformation to oil. Once the olives have been introduced to our olive mill, they go through a process of cleaning, grinding, churning and centrifuging, avoiding the contact of paste with oxygen as much as possible, in order to obtain oils with intense flavors and aromas. These processes are carried out by experts with vast experience and cutting-edge machinery that makes us the most modern olive oil production plant in South America.

Because you want the best, choose something that's fresh.
This extra virgin olive oil more than satisfies me. First, it comes in excellent packaging, being bottled in dark green glass. Second, this Alonso Coratina flows smoothly from a well-designed spout for pouring. Third, this extra virgin olive oil looks like emeralds. Fourth, Alonso's Harvest of 2019 has an aroma proclaiming young grass in spring. Fifth and most important, this Coratina from Alonso tastes harmonious: walnuts and butter followed by black pepper. Harvest of 2019 by Alonso receives my warmest recommendation, having been made from olives picked within the past ten months. Bon appétit.

Smooth start , mildly bitter aftertaste....
This award winning oil is good - but not overly so. It's got a smooth buttery beginning note, with almost a tinge of apple / fruity after note. But unfortunately, that is followed by a mildly bitter aftertaste... :-( I'd probably give this a 3 1/2 star if possible...Decent for dipping bread with a nice balsamic and some salt and pepper. The best oil I've ever had isPrincipe Pallavicini which is super difficult to get in the US, but it is amazing!

Great taste!
It's very taste and looks very healthy.if l could review the prime delivery system l'd give it, not zero, but -10 stars; it was left in the mail box for many hrs under a florida heat over 110F, when l went to check the mail in the afternoon it was very hot, ready to cook something; a lot to work on this for amazon yet, same thing happens with pills. Also, as of today, it's around $7 more than the price on their website; so, even with prime, we pay the shiping.

Full bodied and luscious!
I’m always searching for an olive oil that has a full bodied grassy flavor but that doesn’t have that back of the throat pepperiness usually associated with flavorful olive oils. This olive oil is truly delicious and meets my criteria exactly. It’s been perfect on my fresh from the garden tomatoes, perfect in gazpacho where the flavor of the oil is critical, drizzled on flatbreads or on anything else that you want to elevate with the flavor of olive oil goodness. It’s the kind of olive oil that tastes so good that any leftover on the plate begs to be eaten to the last luscious drop and in our house, that involves eating one more piece of bread to soak up any remaining oil left on the plate.

This is the best olive oil that I have ever tasted.
This is the best olive oil that I have ever tasted. After tasting a tablespoon full, I immediately bought another bottle. It has a strong grassy, peppery taste and appears to be very fresh. I received my bottle shipped inside a padded envelope, the box was a little crushed, and the bottle was outside of the box, but that is no big deal. I definitely would purchase again once I use my two bottles.

Flavorful and buttery
Unlike some other oils I have used, this oil was fresh and from a recent harvest. It was medium in intensity, excellent for dipping with balsamic. Flavor of fresh cut grass and artichokes with a tinge of bitterness (which I like). Highly recommend

Outstanding!
Honestly one of the best olive oils I’ve had in the past few years. Bright, spicy, and perfect for salad dressings.
