Fantastic bricks, but lots of tiny ones
I was really surprised with how much I liked these! I bought them to write letters on for my boys to work on sight and spelling words. I didn’t want to pay for the name brand for blocks I was going to write on and not let them actually play with. They interlock really well and come in lots of different colors. I was worried that because they were cheap, they would be really loose and not stay put together. But that hasn’t been a problem. I wrote all the vowels on one color and then used another color for each of the “tall” frequently confused letters like b and d. Then I used 2 different colors for frequently confused letters that “dip” like p and q. The variety of colors in this set made it really easy to make letters easy for kids to distinguish. Eventually, I may write nouns on one color block, verbs on another, adjectives on another color, etc so we can build sentences using the different parts of speech. Just trying to think of different ways to work on homework without it being miserable for my kids...and me.I had enough bricks to put together a little kit that I take with me when I see students for Occupational Therapy to work on visual perceptual skills, fine motor skills, and even just exploratory play. My students love it! I’m thinking of ordering another set so I can expand my little therapy kit without taking too many from my kid’s set for practicing spelling. With a toy kids love to play with at a super affordable price, the possibilities are endless! My only gripe about this kit is that it comes with a lot of the really small bricks. I didn’t count, but it feels like there are hundreds of the little bricks with only one dot on the top. I’ll probably end up using those as math manipulatives so it’s not a total loss, but I would’ve liked to see more of the 2x2’s or 2x4’s and less of the one dots.Overall, it’s a great product at a great price. I highly recommend it if you’re looking to build and vary a Lego collection or encourage open-ended building. It’s also been great in encouraging my kids to study while still making it a lot of fun!

A good value for what it is, but read the description before buying
A lot of these reviews are giving this set a low rating because it's all small stuff, but if you would have read the description you would see that that is all it claimed to be. This is a good small parts set. If you need small parts, this is the perfect set for you. If you want some bigger parts, I would recommend the Barcaloo 1000 piece set. In fact I'd recommend getting two or three of those to every one of these sets you buy for a good basic block collection. the brick quality is good, color is consistent, blocks are durable, and clutch is great. This set does have a lot better brighter shades of color than the barcaloo one which mainly focus on the old traditional Lego colors. This one has more pastels.

Fun
Great value for replacements to Legos. Works with Legos and better value.

Knockoffs but functional
Garunk has, for the last couple of times I've ordered from them, managed to be a reasonably good source for bulk knockoff building bricks. They are not the best, but they do offer one of the best bargains. In this case, I bought two, to see for certain if the colors sizes were random. Here are the results:GARUNK 1500 pcs STEM BuilDing BLocks(sic, from the box that arrived)Colors are slightly variable(there's one or two "slightly darker than light grey" or "slightly darker than blue" that are counted by what color they're most like) and that few a number actually makes these more consistent than other bulk bricks on Amazon. Acceptable quality control(only one melted/incomplete, out of two sets but a good number of rough edges and flashing that was easily fixed just by scraping my fingernail across), variable connection strength(some are too tight to fit, others push away slightly leaving a gap, but all seemed to work with enough force).Part Separator (1 Orange)Black Nylon(I assume) Tote bage, embroidered "GARUNK". Kinda small, but nice. Not netting but solid fabric. Sturdy nylon drawstring, folds itself up when drawn tight.Only Bricks, no plates. The numbers here are an average of the two sets, as most sets had two or three difference in numbers(one set had 30 2x4 bricks, one set had 31).2x4 Bricks 60 (30 Blue, 30 Green)2x3 Bricks 90 (30 Yellow, 30 Light Grey, 30 Lavender)2x2 Bricks 90 (30 Red, 30 Light Grey, 30 Pink)4x1 Bricks 90 (30 Blue, 30 Lime, 30 Dark Grey)2x1 Bricks 385 (55 Red, 55 Sky Blue, 55 Green, 55 Yellow, 55 Dark Grey, 55 Light Grey, 55 Lavender)1x1 Bricks 805 (115 White, 115 Red, 115 Blue, 115 Lime, 115 Yellow, 115 Light Grey, 115 Pink)That, given the variable number tended to go one or two higher than lower, gives more than the 1500 bricks advertised. But there's also the bonus:3 white door frames3 clear blue doors (to go in the frames)3 white window frames7 window shutters (to go in the frames... you can actually fit four per window frame even if 2 is what looks best, but both sets had 7 so... I don't know what the thought process here was, just give me an extra?)10 black rubberized tires (again, you can only build 8 working wheels, but both sets had extra)8 light grey inner wheels8 black 2x2 plate with axleNow that's some... odd color choices, but they weren't random, I got the same colors and sizes in roughly the same proportions in both sets. Also, a lot(easily half the count) of 1x1 bricks which... most people dislike. Does not earn 5 stars, try harder GARUNK. You made it above 3 stars by meeting advertised promises and going slightly beyond, but this is not excellence. In all, if sold at a good price, I would get again. For one, I want to see if I only got the same colors because I purchased them so close together, and if the mix varies from production run to run or something. But I have nieces and nephews to give gifts too, and I still do builds of my own every now and then. There's nothing fancy in this set, but you do get a lot. Hopefully this is helpful in deciding if you want to try this... or buy real LEGOs or Mega Construx, or even just try other groups like Strictly Briks(who I would gauge as just slightly better) or Lekebaby(just slightly worse), or even some other company.

These are awesome!
Thoroughly impressed with these building blocks. My son absolutely loves Legos, but they’re so pricey. These are great colors, a great assortment of shapes and sizes, and he can’t even tell they’re not actual “Legos”. Great quality and go together easily. Zero complaints from this customer!

A very reasonable alternative to the brand name
The most important thing to note is these bricks work and are completely interchangeable with the brand name. They have proven to be very good value for money.

Liked it, all was perfect. Fits well with original lego but better bang for your buck! Just need to search around for good deals on more types of pieces! Colors are great too not just what shows on box but light colors too!
