You’ll need to buy 2 new bolts & fab your brackets if you want a cleaner look and more secure fit. First, the rear most bolts in kit for cab (dbl cab) are too short. You should buy at least a 5.5” bolt. Got two from Amazon in m810x1.25 x 5.5”. Second, for 2001 Tacoma (and newer), you must invert both cab spacers (big on top, not just one as instructions say). Third, cab spacers need refinement in how the bed sits in relation to body. Will need to modify for perfection. Lastly, to eliminate the front and rear bumper gaps, you’ll need to weld additional metal on your front brackets and drill new holes, rear brackets need some newer holes as well. I welded new nuts to mine(m12x1.25 I think) and lastly, maybe not 100% necessary, but to keep the fan shroud in tact, I built 4 brackets to lower the radiator back to where it was(used som 1/8” steel with 1” holes and m8x1.25” bolts & nuts. All in all an okay kit and what makes it worth it is the steering spacer and the bushings seem to be quality. Be awesome if a “complete” kit was sold and they included longer rear cab bolts.

The product is good, but they dont tell you you might have to drill the cab holes a little and most likely longer hardware bolt for the rear of the cab

I think it's a little prices, but good product.i felt steering bolts were a little short so I replaced them with longer ones.was put on a 2002 double cab tacoma

There is drilling to fit new bolts was unexpected. Made the job go from easy to a lot more difficult. I do like the 1” lift it gave me but would have liked to have know drilling was involved before hand!

I bought this a few years ago for my 2003 Tacoma double cab & just got around to installing. Instructions are extremely poor for all aspects. The bed parts went fairly easy. The provided bolts are to big to go through the body at the radiator support. Instructions say to put the longer bolts on the front but when I took the body bolts out it was the rear cab ones which were the longest. I had to buy smaller diameter 5” bolts for the radiator support and 6” bolts for the rear of the cab. Instructions said to flip the bushings at the front of the cab. I did the rear the way the instructions said and had to change them to like the front cab bushings. Poor instructions on taking old cab bushings out. When finally got done it works. Low rating is for horrible instructions and having to buy more bolts.
