All insects arrived alive and healthy
I use these in a frog tank with live plants and they definitely serve their purpose. All insects arrived alive and immediately settled into the tank.

Fantastic customer service.
I've got a small terrarium that I've been working on, and wanted to get some good clean up crew bugs to add some life to the thank. Ordered these isopods and springtails, and packaged arrived much earlier than expected. However they arrived dead on arrival. I contacted Josh's Frogs and they immediately express shipped replacements. The new bugs arrived and were in perfect health. I was very pleased with my interactions with Josh's Frogs.

Customer service good | Product bad
Beware ordering this product because it is overpriced for the quality. I ordered the isopod and springtail pack and both arrived dead and missing quantities. The isopod container says 25ct, but I only found 3 in the mix and I sadly found them dead and dried out. The 8oz springtail mix was dried dirt. I even tried to carefully transfer the “cultivation” into a bigger container where I left some dry leaves and a dead cricket inside, but everything was the same when I checked the next morning. The customer support is the only highlight because I received a reply in less than a day and they provided me with a replacement. The products arrived 2 days later, but the order had the same problem. I don’t know if I should keep trying to work with them because I am skeptical about the longevity of their critters if they finally manage to get the order right. I know this is just an Amazon review, but if they read this I hope they switch from using dirt to charcoal chunks because the isopod farms I’ve seen online have switched over. Also keep the heating pad farther away from the springtails packs because it’s drying out the substrate orr switch to a lower heating pack altogether because both shipments had dried products.

Arrived Alive and Healthy
Arrived earler and the isopods were alive. I could not see the springtails, but I am sure they were alive, too. The box was securely packaged and clearly labeled with notification that there were live insects- handle with care. The critters had a heat source in the box to ensure they did not get too cold during transport. I had an overall great experience.

Awesome bio starter
I've ordered this twice now. First time everybody arrived alive and well. Unfortunately the 2nd time the little isopods didnt make it. I dont think the springtails did either as i havent seen any active in the soil since adding (its been several weeks). Took away a star because of this. Maybe a bad batch on the 2nd round or bad handling by the postal service since the package was upside down when left on the porch.

Isopod were dead upon arrival
Took a while to ship, and unfortunately that ended up causing the isopods to die, I picked through the plastic tub and not a single one was left alive. Luckily I was able to have a good majority of the springtails survive, but atp I feel it's better I just wait till a event to buy my isopods

Great products, but I wish my shipping were better!
SOME of the animals arrived alive, but I found a few corpses among them! Not the fault of Josh's Frogs, my shipping service just left them upside down in the pickup locker, and who knows how they were stored in shipping! Saw a few alive and kicking, so it'll just be a slow start to get the colony rolling, I think! :)
