I don't use them a whole lot, but they are continuing to perform very well. I recommend them.

I've had these strainers for about six years and they were always my go to strainers because of their sturdy construction (see later caveat). They are extremely well built and designed and have comfortable handles that don't deteriorate in the dishwasher. They have a nice, wide stainless steel lip that makes dumping the contents hassle free - nothing hangs up on the edges. During the time I've owned them not a single rust spot appeared. Not so for my other brand strainers. Now for the caveat and rave. A week ago one of the welds holding the handle onto the basket broke. The write-up said lifetime warranty. Right, I wondered how many hoops I would have to jump through and how long it would take to make it happen if it ever did. I'm happy to report that after I published my issue on their LiveFresh's customer support site, I got an almost immediate response acknowledging my submission. After providing my order number, I received a brand new strainer 4 days later. I challenge you to find better customer service - anywhere on Amazon.

I'm not going to make you read the review only to find out that this is one of those reduced discount for an honest review deals. I'm saying it now to be clear. I researched and compared numerous sets including Cuisinart, Norpro, and OXO on my own and decided that i was going to give this set of three strainers a try. My review is my own and not influenced by any promotion.The set of three strainers I ordered came quickly and without issue. Upon initial inspection, I was impressed at the construction. They are not flimsy in the least. There is no bending or twisting of the frame when contents are added, even when just holding the handle and not resting the far edge on the lip of a bowl or something similar.The screens themselves are small enough to catch virtually all unwanted items yet not so tiny that they have clogged. Dry ingredients have sifted perfectly and wet ingredients like homemade stock and various sauces have easily drained while doing great work at removing solids like bone bits, scales and minced herbs.I have not run them in the dishwasher nor do I plan to since they clean up in a breeze just using my sprayer and sponge. I've used and cleaned each of the three at least a dozen times since purchasing them in May and they look brand new. I'm quite happy with my choice and am legitimately looking forward to see if Living Fresh will develop more kitchen products I can use. As a home-cook who enjoys using tools of serious quality, I am quite pleased with my decision and imagine anyone else would be, too.

These are good strainers. I liked them in every respect, except one. The handles are plastic and not heat-resistant. So if you lay them across a hot pot, you may find that it has melted a groove into the handle.

I use these strainers primarily to clean quinoa. I'm ashamed to say that I have always wanted to wash quinoa before cooking but never could without a fine-mesh strainer, hence my purchase. These strainers are attractive, sturdy, and work perfectly for their intended purpose. A fine layer of quinoa stays behind in the strainer after I dump the quinoa into a pot, and I just invert the strainer over my cooking pot and pour the measured water for the quinoa over the strainer and into the pot. This removes most of the residual quinoa from the strainer and eliminates waste. Great product!

These strainers are very high quality and LiveFresh’s customer service is excellent. When I received the set of strainers, there was a very minor issue with one of the strainers. I was a little disappointed, but I understand that sometimes these things happen. I was about to contact Amazon or LiveFresh to see about getting a replacement when I received an email from LiveFresh asking me if I was happy with my purchase.It was a nice surprise to see that the company was actively seeing if I was happy with their product. I responded to LiveFresh about issue and I expected it might take a while to get a reply. However, I got a reply from LiveFresh within 15 minutes saying that they apologized about the issue with the strainer and they immediately arranged to send me a full replacement set at their expense. I was very impressed with their level of professionalism and excellent customer service. It’s great to see a company stand behind their product like LiveFresh does.I do a lot of cooking and seek out high quality commercial grade cooking tools and I believe these are the highest quality strainers I have ever used and it’s nice to know that in the unlikely event that if there is an issue with them, LiveFresh is very responsive and totally committed to standing behind their products.

I use these for making jelly, as well as for straining the fat out of meat before canning. They've held up well to both uses, even though I use the back of a spoon to press down firmly on meat to release the fat (something that made other strainers tear.) They wash up beautifully in the dishwasher.UPDATE 7/2022: The handle off my most-used strainer suddenly broke, right where it was welded on. I emailed the manufacturer, expecting to be blown off, despite their lifetime warranty boast. I WAS WRONG! A representative returned my email within a few hours and by the next day sent me a tracking number for the replacement they were sending. It arrived lickety-split. And not just one strainer, but a whole new set. It is rare to see such AMAZING customer service these days and I am extremely impressed! These strainers are definitely worth purchasing.

We bought this to try to keep the coffee grounds from our French press out of our septic system. It has been great! A very small amount of powdered coffee grounds will make it through obv, but the vast majority is caught and able to be dumped in the trash. It works for other fine grains too like quinoa and sushi rice. If you're looking for an extra-fine sieve, this is the one!
