Flavor:Original  |  Size:0.78 Ounce (Pack of 15) Coconut water is nature's ultimate hydration and recovery drink and now the nutrients of 2 young, green coconuts is available to you anytime and anywhere with this super-convenient single-serve. Much easier to carry around this 22 gram packet of dehydrated powder made from certified organic coconut water than 2 coconuts or a tetra-pack destined for the landfill. Instead of shipping water around the world; the naturally electrolyte and nutrient-filled water goes through an enzymatic spray-dry process in order to retain as many nutrients as possible. We have chosen to incorporate trace ionic minerals in order to provide maximum benefits in maintaining optimal function of the body. The inherent minerals and nutrients work together in their natural state for easy assimilation into the body; as opposed to lab-fabricated (isolate) nutrients. The chelated minerals in Coco Hydro mean an average of 98% absorption rate whereas isolate mineral supplements have an average of 2% absorption rate; Coco Hydro ensures your body is getting the full nutrients it needs, on the go wherever you go.

New packaging, changed the ingredients, inferior product, shame on you Coco Hydro!!
I have been using this product for many years now and have always been satisfied with it. After my last order I noticed that the packaging had changed so I read over the list of ingredients to ensure that the ingredients hadn't changed also. Sadly, they have. The old Coco Hydro that I used to order had 326mg of potassium per tablespoon. The new package has 214mg per tablespoon. That's 33% less potassium per tablespoon. I also noticed that the new formula has the addition of what's termed "Hydroboost" which is composed of potassium phosphate, calcium citrate, magnesium phosphate, magnesium citrate, and citric acid. It appears that, in order to cut corners, they decreased the amount of actual coconut water and simply added the minerals back in in supplemental form. Also, the dextrose is no longer listed as "non-gmo dextrose", but simply "dextrose". It's always sad to see a company that has a good product, cut corners in an effort to bolster their bottom line, and this appears to be exactly what's happened with Coco Hydro. Shame on you Coco Hydro. I will be looking for another brand of coconut water.

Unrecognizable as coconut water
This doesn't taste anything like actual coconut water. The slurry that results from mixing this very fine powder with water results in a drink lacking both in coconut flavor and body. There is a chemical sweetness that throws things off as well. Even from-concentrate coconut water hits closer to the real thing than Coco Hydro. I still have half of a package in my cabinet and don't imagine I'll be finishing it anytime soon.

Convenient
It is very convenient. I went to a 3rd world country and packed 30 bags for heat dehydration. They fit in my pockets and didn't take up much room or weight in my suitcase. Plus it's easier to bring a dry drink through tsa than a liquid coconut water. It's convenient on a trip. However the taste one has to get used to. It doesn't exactly 100% taste like regular coconut water. Also you have to really get rid of the lumps when mixing. I found filling up a 16oz plastic water bottle 2/3 full and pour in the powder and shake until the lumps dissolved works better than trying to mix in a glass with a spoon which is a challenge. If the taste was better I would have rated it a 5. But it is so convenient...thus the 4.

Flavorless and not Hydrating
I'm relatively new to instant coconut water but of the several that I've tried this has the least amount of flavor. Feel like a lot of the mix is needed to get to anything close to other brands. It doesn't replenish or hydrate as advertised. It's entirely subjective but for me there has to be other options. Would not recommend or purchase again.

I am alive!
I live via feeding tube so I cannot review the taste, But as far as benefits of this product it is fantastic. I suffer from dehydration and low potassium related issues some times serious (Hospital type) to always mild. I had explored Coconut water before but did not notice any benefit and the cost of several times a day did not seem worth it, But when my problems became serious I I decided to look again and found Coco Hydro, I read reviews and detailed manufacturing process elsewhere all good and this bring the cost way down so I thought I would try it. Being on a feeding tube supplements are my life but the reality is 99% of them I cannot tell any difference in how I feel. Not so with Coco Hydro, within a day I felt more more alive and better then I had in the past 2 years and when I run out I can feel the change until I get more.

Not what I'd hoped for...
I got this brand because it was less expensive. Unfortunately, I didn't do my homework that day! The serving size is 2 tablespoons and the carbs are 22 grams. The other brands I've been using are 1 tablespoon and 8 to 10 grams of carbs. If a person can tolerate the carbs, it's a fine product. However, I'm very carb sensitive. It gives me a buzz which I do not like. I can't recommend this product based upon my experience.

I'm not a fancy connoisseur or anything…
I've tried a few brands of coconut water from the store and this powder is very similar to store-bought coconut water. I don't understand why people would expect this to be exactly like coconut water.(this powdered coconut water is more closely related to actual coconut water then concentrated orange juice is to fresh squeezed)One thing that I can recommend to most of you is to use great filtered water. The powder is going to clump when you add it to the water. So if you were adding this to a water bottle, pre-mix it before pouring it into the bottle. Stir with a spoon for a few minutes, give it a chance. This is wonderful stuff.
