Works great on Mac , Best picture quality.
When I read so many negative reviews about this printer I was little skeptical of whether to or not to purchase it. Well, I have used this printer in my office and was blown by the quality of prints it does. One day when I saw a huge discount on 3224awde I just make a purchase blindly and I am glad that I have invested in right thing. Here are some of the pros & cons about this printer.Pros:1. Print quality is best in this class of printer. I have compared it with HP 479fdw and color prints from hp doesn’t even come close to quality of lexmark.2. Color touchscreen provides great advantage of more controlled printing experience.3. Network connectivity and ease of access from ios or android device comes handy during the times when you are on phone and want to print something immediately without starting your laptop.4. It works great with mac, windows or iphone.5. Great customer serviceCons:1. It is super heavy. If you are not taking proper precautions while moving it from one place to another you might break your back or damage printer badly.2. It performs poor with windows and thats why it has been notorious when it comes to reviews. I had to cancel my print jobs many times on windows but small tweaks or a restart resolves the issue. Good thing is they have great customer service. In case of any issues you can call them and they will guide you until your issues is resolved.Final thoughts:If you are windows lover and love ease of access you might probably hate some of the complex troubleshooting other Operating Systems involved. Then this is not for you.If you are a techie person and love complex engineering and powerful experience then this printer is for you.

Impressive printer, works great with macOS!
This is a really good little color laser multifunction printer. I’m on macOS and I was wary of a few negative reviews about the lack of Apple software for this unit, but I have a friend who is a Lexmark dealer and authorized repair center, so I thought it was worth the risk. It’s true that there is no Mac driver for this unit, but you don’t need it. Unpacking and setting up was easy… And using the free Lexmark iOS app to set up my Wi-Fi connection couldn’t have been simpler. My Mac Pro saw the printer instantly and I was up and running in two minutes. And while there is no Lexmark software to run this printer… I already owned VueScan, A third-party scanning software… And it runs this printer perfectly, including all of the options for resolution, flatbed scanning, document feeder scanning, and everything else. You can also access all of the printers options through your web browser by locating the printers address on your home network. So… Absolutely a joy to set up and use with my Mac Pro running Mojave.

Great printer, bad setup instructions
I have read many negative reviews about setting this printer up, so I thought I’d share how I got it working. I used the mobile app from an iPhone to set up the printer. Then I had to go into the printer, and buried DEEP in menus is the option to enable or disable network connections - it ships defaulted to “disable network connections”. You need to switch it to “enable” and this is not in any guides, instructions, or videos on the technical support page. Then use the disk provided to install the drivers and it will automatically detect it on your PC, it didn’t auto detect for me if it was set to “disable” and i could only print from a usb drive like others have complained about.

This Printer is an Ink Guzzler or the Cartridge is not being Filled up - DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY
So, first off Id like to say Im very familiar with the Lexmark series of printers as for almost 29 years I have worked alongside lexmark printers testing them and deploying them to our branches across North America.I though this was a good deal when I saw and bought this printer. So here are my comments:1. The printer works well so I would give 4 stars for that2. The printer is an Ink Guzzler or its simply the fact that the cartridges unbeknowing to us consumers are not being filled up. I am believing that Lexmark or whoever is teh supplier of these toner cartridges are are not fillinmg them but, similarly to teh same content amout as the starter cartridges when you buy a new printer. When I discovered this issue I connected with Lexmark and worked with them to resolve. The issue continued where the ink was running out superfast to the point where the printer was replaced......unfortiunately wth the same model. When it was delivered and installed I connected with Lexmark and we basically did a system reset.Within a week of using this printer, it showed that I had used a total of 2 packs of 500 sheets of paper , within 3 weeks said I needed to replace the Black cartridge. I reached out to lexmark again and shared teh stats with them. They conducted yet again the same troubleshooting techniques and sent me a replacement cartridge. The problem continued, Reached out to Lexmark again and basically was told there's nothing more thery can do.Here's the Kicker to the Gut:I have a small business that probably prints about 200 pages a month. So I know Im not a maths brainiac but the math just does not add up. I am the ONLY one in my company that logs onto a computer and uses the printer?Im so damn mad so now Im looking to simply take this home and use it there since we hardly print at home and get something cheaper. We opted to the laser printer for the fact that we dont print often and the traditional inkjets printers ink coartridge would dry up if we did not print.Currently our house has 3 laser printers, 1 HP CM1312NFI (very old but works), 2 Canon that works very well and we have never experienced any toner issues as this Lexmark.I cannot understand why almost every month I have to by toner cartridge(s) when Im not using that amout of papers but the counter on the printer says I am????????????????? Really Lexmark!!!!!!!!Help, guys, dont waste your money and buy this damn printer as you will be spending excessively on cartridges.

Reliable, fast, high resolution printing.
This Lexmark printer delivers razor sharp text and graphics. it's easy to use yet fast and quiet in operation. This is a great printer for home and office use.The setup was was fast and easy. From taking it out of the box to having it print over WiFi taking less than 30 mins. Most of the printer options are easily configurable through its access panel and the Wi-Fi setup was easy, but the screen is sensitive so it took a few tries to enter my connection information correctly. The Wi-Fi connection is reliable and I use it daily to print from Windows PCs, Android phones and tablets. I especially like how easy it is to print from android devices, printing out websites and photos is a breeze, and fast. The double sided printing works well and saves big time in paper. The scanner, copier and fax all work. The fax doesn't have a line out for a phone, that is a little annoying but can be worked around. The scanner and copying are excellent, fast sharp and accurate. This is a great printer but has some limitations. It's large, so not great for people with little space. It's heavy, so can't be placed on weak shelves. It's not the greatest for printing photos, but it does a good job at mixed work like web pages, school work, office work, business fliers, business cards. What's best about this printer is that it is most likely more reliable than inkjets, as laser printers are more reliable in general. And, If you don't print often that's not a problem because this laser printer doesn't use ink that can dry up. I've had laser printers that lasted years without a cartridge change without failing. For the type of printer and it's class this Lexmark printer is an excellent buy.

Excellent color laser printer that does everything well at a good price.
I really like this all-in-one. It is fairly compact but has everything you could want from a home / small business printer. For me, the ADF scanner gets more usage than the printer itself and I've run through a few stacks through and I haven't had an issue yet (knock on wood) despite the papers being previously stapled and in some cases, slightly wrinkled. Scanning works really easily and is a similar experience to the big Xerox at my day job.As a laser printer, the cost per page on this is fairly low - I haven't printed nearly enough to verify Lexmark's claims but I don't see any reason to doubt them. That said, the print speed is quite fast and text is razor sharp. I found that this printer does a good job at simple pictures as well - vector art such as logos came out crisp. The paper tray is also quite generously sized and although overkill for my home office, it could be useful for some professionals more reliant on paper than myself. One thing I appreciate is that it's fully wireless. I have a printer cart that holds this printer as well as a 3D printer that I plug into an wall away from my main desk and appreciate not having to run any wires. It's great that there was zero fuss getting this printer to work with my MacBook as well as my Windows Desktop. Although that's pretty standard nowadays, I felt like it was worth a mention.

Talented multifunction printer; easy connection options
I use printers a lot, for work and personal purposes, and across multiple offices I have at least two printers in each office (for redundancy and, in some cases, different purposes). In the "old days" these were laser printers (for text) and colour was printers (for photos and images) but the last decade has seen inkjets replace laser printers almost completely, reducing both initial cost and complexity of setup, but generally increasing on-going costs with ink cartridges costing more than the older laser cartridges, per page.Lexmark printers have been on the market for decades, and this is one of their newer models. The 40N9050 is designed for business and heavy personal use, and offers not just print capabilities but also scanning, copying, and (getting rarer these days) fax capabilities. These MFDs are ideally suited to offices, but I use them at home, too.Setting up the 40N9050 is simple: remove the packing content and tape, insert the ink, load up the 250-page paper feed (the capacity of the paper feed is a nice touch, since it reduces paper reloads), and configure wifi, USB or Ethernet connections (or any combination of those). While most home printers will be wireless or USB, I installed this 40N9050 through Ethernet cable to a hub on my network, as well as wifi (allowing phones and tablets to print without physical connection). Total setup time was about 15 minutes from opening the box to printing a test page. The printer is a bit boxy-looking, but it is relatively compact for what it offers.Using the Lexmark 40N9050 is easy, and the 7cm screen helps work through the options. To print, you can queue up documents or photos from multiple sources at once, and they can be set to take paper from the input tray or from the single sheet feeder (useful for both heavier photo paper and odd-size paper sheets). Duplex (two sided) printing is the default, which helps save paper, and requires no special settings in the feeding device's print options. At full blast, I was getting about 20 pages per minute printing long documents, although the printer is rated at 24 pages per minute. That's for plain text pages; images and colour take longer. The scanner and copier are easy to work with, and a nice feature is the ability to scan straight to email attachment. While I haven't used the printer long enough to gauge ink lifespan, having fed about 500 pages through I don't think this is going to be an ink hog. The cartridges last about 500 pages each according to the specs, but I still had lots of ink after printing a slew of photos. The black cartridge is rated at 750 pages before replacement. This is a competitive market: NFDs with decent print rates are available from a number of suppliers, all offering pretty much the same features at about the same price point. Choosing between the options is often a matter of personal preference, but I do like this Lexmark after using it for a short while. For an office with higher-than-home usage patterns, this is an ideal solution over some competing products due to its speed and flexibility. It also seemed a little better built than some of the other printers we've had, and connectivity was not an issue. The folks in my office liked using it, too. Long-term use remains to be determined, but if there's any issues I'll post an update.

Ink runs out fast
I would not recommend this for anything other than the occasional print. As a teacher I was hoping I would be able to do more work at home, rather than staying at school for long hours in the evening/weekend. The ink cartridge ran out in the first week of me owning this. I ordered a new cartridge (183$ on Amazon) - black high yield. The cartridge was faulty and didn't work. I called Lexmark direct and they noted this a common problem with the printer. WHAT? I should have done better research on cost effective vs. ink use. While the colour pages are a decent print, I wish I would have spent more money and purchased a machine that could do 20,000 copies before running out of ink. I literally did less than 500 pages (one ream of paper). I am not happy, but as I've used the printer I don't think that I can return this anymore. I would not recommend.

works well with photo paper. Perfect for a home or small office.
This is my first ever colour laser printer. I've always wanted the print quality of a laser with colour. The performance is on par with my previous Epson 4750. Though, I would give this laser the edge as dealing with ink jets and slow print quality deterioration sucks. This printer prints super fast and doesn't bog down. That totally bugs me, when printers slow down when printing multi page documents.I love the automatic document feeder. It's a must have for any home office. This one works well, I've yet to have it jam, even when some sheets have a fold crease in them. It handles multiple pages with ease and doesn't slow down.Super easy to configure with the attached colour LCD.I've been using this as the my main printer for about 2 months now and it still has about 60% of ink remaining. This is a fantastic choice for any home office. I highly recommend it.
