Q: how does the sodium content compare with soy sauce?

This has 160 mg per 1/2 tsp (there are 3 tsp in a table spoon) Regular (not low sodium) Kikkoman's soy sauce has 920 mg per Tbs. In a Tbs of Braggs you wind up with 960 mg per TBS, so this actually has MORE Sodium in an equal volume. Which is why it tastes so salty.

Q: What is the recommended shelf life after opening? Best to store at room temperature or refrigeration?

I bought this in a local grocery store in September 2020, and the bottle label indicates “refrigerate after opening”.

I prefer the taste of bragg's to soy sauce myself. After years of using it - I find regular soy sauce to salty in comparison.

Good flavor and lower sodium than soy sauce

This stuff is good as a lower sodium alternative to soy sauce. The flavor is savory rich and a tad smoky. I've been looking for a lower sodium alternative to soy sauce or even low sodium soy sauce. Looks like it is a bit lower than the low sodium soy. This may be the answer. It also has the aminos and is gluten free if you are looking for that sort of thing.At $10 for a 32 oz. bottle this will last forever. Lol.For even lower sodium try the braggs coconut aminos. The difference with that in addition to half the sodium of this stuff it also is kinda sweet which I also like. It's almost teriyaki like.Now I've got 2 great alternatives.

GREAT FLAVOR

I use a dash of these 'Liquid Aminos' to replace salt when I am cooking. They have a great flavor and a little goes a long way. I have used most of the BRAGG products and am never disappointed in their quality.

Awesome Product!!!

Great value...I've always loved this product for many years, you don't need much, the flavor is beyond excellent. I use a little more on a beef roast in my pressure cooker, makes the meat so tender plus I add a lil on everything that needs that extra taste...yum!

Plastic bottle surprise!

Im giving this product 4 out 5 stars because it comes in a plastic bottle. I have never had A braggs product come in a plastic bottle! It takes away from the all natural vibes I associate with braggs. The product itself is very tasty and useful for so many dishes that call for soy sauce.
