The best set of entry level strings
D'Addario is known for their world class strings. I've been a fan of them since I started using the D'Addario Prelude Strings on my Yamaha V20 violin. I got this set for my old violin which was more of a beginner's violin. Since I was impressed with the performance of their strings I thought of going for this set as they were cheap and could be paired with my beginner's violin. And I was still impressed by its tone. Setting up the violin strings was easy and each strings are colour coded so as to avoid any confusion. I would definitely recommend anyone to go for this set or any other sets of D'Addario as per your experience.

Good strings
Good stings nice tone for my violin.I am satisfied with the tone but my fingers get black when i am using oil for sliding as we use foe ghamakas in karnatic music. Not pure steel i guess.Just for the tonal quality this stays with me.

Extremely good quality strings
I took up playing the violin seriously and regularly again after almost 20 years during the March-May lockdown period. My violin is ~30 years old, bought from NN Mondal & Co, Calcutta. It's a decent one. So far, I have always used the local Karuna or True Tone strings. Starting up again, I chose to go for a "higher quality" string set.I am amazed with the results. The violin, though always decent sounding, now sounds unlike anything before – probably comparable with an expensive foreign made violin, after I put on these strings. They are loud, precise, and excellent tonal quality. A few other things I noticed:- Bow hairs tear less since I started using these (the older strings were ~10 years old, and I used to lose a bunch of bow hair everyday).- Finger tips hurt lessI read a few reviews about difficulty in tuning the E string. I didn't face any such. The only cons is that the G string sounds a bit too bright (higher overtones) than what I would like. But nothing to be annoyed about.

A Good set of strings
Tone of violin actually is better after changing it from local strings, and also keep in mind that the violin wood quality also depends on the tone it produce.

Not an investment for beginners and a terrible one for intermediates.
It’s really difficult tuning the strings. You should never settle for this so called “economical” strings. Infact I have never seen this string set of the brand in the outside market.Noticed the response time was delayed as well when playing fast notes. If you have the budget, go for a Thomastik nylon core steel strings that are extremely durable due to the inner synthetic material giving as natural tone as gut strings and high end steel core strings loudness, the best of both world. It’s 2k but a worthwhile investment.I unfortunately have to stick to these strings for the next 6 months.REMEMBER TO USE FINE TUNERS. As it’s very very difficult to tune using pegs due to the major tone change with just a slight turn.

Average quality
Quality is average. Bit costly.Sounds a bit scratchy.Packaging not so good. All strings in one sealed plastic packet. Would have been better if each string were in its own packet.
