Field Notes: National Parks Series (Series C - Rocky Mountain, Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone) - Graph Paper Memo Book 3-Pack - 3.5 x 5.5 Inch

With 48 pages and 3.5" by 5.5" it's the perfect notebook for carrying in a pocket, not to thick or bulky. The 3/16" grid is heavy enough to see but not so overwhelming that it's distracting when writing. The inside of the front cover has a place for your National Park Passport Stamp and the back has a handy 5" scale as well as some history of the park. The beautiful illustration on the front cover (see the attached photo) is the Zion Narrows on the Virgin River, a place I have been to a few times and is a must see for all. The series A pack also includes Yosemite and Acadia National Parks and the additional Field Notes in the series cover many of the most iconic parks in the nation. I admit the park series is what spurred me to buy these but now that I see them in person they really are made well and entirely USA made. The look and feel is great and I can't wait to see how they look in a few months after taking notes in the rain and after carrying them in my hip pocket. I'm betting they'll look even better! I used to spend a lot of time with larger field journals taking notes, logging coordinates, drawing maps and the journals just got better looking with time and are a fond reminder of some great adventures as I'm sure these will be. I'm now looking forward to many more great adventures with the National Park series and collecting some more passport stamps. Considering their quality and attention to detail and the fact that a portion of the sale goes to support the National Park Foundation these are a great value.

Fiel Notes are a classic and very practical. I’ve been using them for years and buy it not only for my own use but also to gift to relatives and friends. I usually buy the standard brown color binding. Paper quality is perfect for the kind of daily use I give them. I highly recommend them!!

Good, small notebooks for sketching or writing.

I love these small notebooks to just have in a backpack or on a desk to jot down a quick note when needed. The quality is great through the whole use of the book. These have been camping with me, thrown around, in my pockets, bent, etc. and still hold up and do not fall apart. One thing to note, these specific one are graph style paper. It actually says that in the description but I just a didn’t read lol. Putting it in the review in case someone sees it! Also love the colors and design of these national park versions. They are beautiful and always a fun talking point when I bring them out

I've been using little notebooks like this since I was a kid, doodling sketches and making notes. I keep one in my car and one in my purse or pocket, and they're still invaluable to me as a adult. Jotting down to-do items, creating a quick sketch, leaving a note for someone, and more; once you start keeping a tiny notebook on hand, you will see how many uses there are for it! This particular book is small and flexible enough to put in a front or back pocket if you have no other way to carry it. The paper is a nice quality for both pencil and pen, but I try not to use extremely “liquid” inks since I have had occasional problems with bleed-through. I must admit that I my similar Moleskine notebooks feel a little more luxurious than these, but they both are perfectly functional.

Really cool! There is a lot that goes into these seemingly simple notebooks. The size, the corner radius, the cardstock used in the covers. I appreciate their utility and this series dedicated to celebrating America’s best idea is beautiful.

There’s lots of covers and accessories specifically tailored to this “Field Notes” size and they are made in the USA. The size is smaller than A6; it is close to B7 also known as Passport size (same width, but field notes are a bit taller by 10mm) Size comparison photos attached with Field Notes on top of Lamy A6 Cahier softcover stitched notebook.

Se trata de un buen cuaderno: es delgado, el papel es de buena calidad y absorbe bien la tinta, son relativamente resistentes y el llevarlos permanentemente encima no es una molestia. Dicho esto, en este producto se pone de manifiesto la desidia y falta de atención de amazon.es (en comparación con las otras tiendas internacionales de amazon) en la descripción de numerosos productos: las páginas NO ESTÁN PAUTADAS (o rayadas), estos cuadernos contienen HOJAS EN BLANCO. Dicho esto, los compré por esa misma razón: quería hojas en blanco y me guié por las fotos y la descripción en inglés (Plain Paper). Lo negativo: son ridículamente caros, de ahí que los considere un capricho. Es la segunda vez que compro este mismo lote y no creo que repita; en la propia amazon.es ofrecen una alternativa: los Moleskine Kraft, calidad y dimensiones comparables, 64 hojas en lugar de 48 y un precio mucho más razonable.
