Great strings
Greatly improved the sound of my guitars

String preference is subjective, but I love them.
Very nice improvement FOR ME over the classic 10-46 slinky set. You might not like them, but I do. It depends on what kind of music and guitar you play. I play Country and Rock and Roll on a Stratocaster, and I love them.

Love these strings
I'm using these strings on a pretty warn down guitar and they still sound lovely. These are great beginner and professional strings they're pleasant to play on with the least amount of pain. Good bang for your buck. They last me about 1-3 ish months but I play daily and ware them to all heck.

Always expect value from Slinky.
My Take - 2.5 Well.. it depends on what you want These strings are thick (hence the "Mega" name). If you're looking for something more vibrant, go ahead and get yourself a different pair. Preference - 2 My preference? I like beefy but these are still too skinny, good for rock genres (maybe Pop?, the vibrance is there, just not a whole lot of it.). The highs in the sound you get from these are definitely worth it, hook it up to distortion or overdrive and you're good! Build - 4 As expected from Slinky, these don't break too easily, they lasted me a good two months before any signs of corrosion in the metal, or scraping, and I play rough! Overall - If you want something durable and effective, get a pair! If you're looking for tone, I suggest their "Cobalt" series, good high for metal/rock, but not very good for pop/etc. They don't break easy (if ever) so they're good for people who play rough/heavier genres.

The Robin Trower gauges
I got this set because it was 'close' to the string gauges that Robin Trower uses. I'm trying to learn some Robin Trower tunes and thought it might help to get in the mood, etc. to set up my Strat appropriately. Ernie Ball has served me for decades quite well.

Hooray for 10.5 gage!
I generally play the Ernie Ball “11s” (Power slinky?) but liked the idea of getting a little more bend on my high strings without dropping all the way down to 10s. These really nail it! My new go to set.

Always use Ernie Ball strings. Usually use Slinky’s but thought I’d give these a try on my Les Paul. To be honest I can’t really tell much difference but they are undoubtedly good strings.

These are genuine Ernie Ball strings (a little research will help you distinguish between real and fake). Perfect weight if you want that compromise between 10s and 11s. You can get your delicate lead bends or you can dig in with your heavy chords. I was so pleased with them I ordered another pack three days later to keep in stock though the price had risen by around three quids. Such is the crazy fluctuation phenomena of Amazon! Fortunately I had a fiver discount on them. Highly recommended strings overall.

I recently bought a PRS Hollowbody SE that came fitted with 10-46 strings. My go-to string gauges are 10s for 'Fender' scale length guitars and 11s for 'Gibson' scale length guitars. The PRS at 25 inches sits in the middle and the 10s felt just a little too slinky for me. SO I tried the 10.5 set for the first time and it's worked out well. I think 11s would have been a bit too stiff for the bluesy bends I want to do on this guitar. If you are not satisfied with your strings but don't want to jump up or down a whole gauge, try the half-way house of a .5 set.

Good quality, as you’d expect from the brand. Their reputation proceeds them. Sound great, play great, and they last a decent while.
