Will the sluice box fold up and fit in a backpack?

Yes it would fit in a big back pack. I find it better in a bucket strapped to my back.

How does it do with fine flower material?

I have only used mine a few times but it seems to catch the super fine gold that beach sand holds. My only complaint about it so far is its kind difficult to remove ripples to clean out the moss unless you have a flat screwdriver

Do I need to buy anything with it like niners moss or does it come with?

It comes with a thin pad liner for the sluice
