I just bought a second one because my drunk friend kept breaking off parts of the antenna on the first one. I’ve purchased several emergency radios similar to this one and this is the best value for the money. Obviously it’s not a great stereo system, but for backpacking for a weekend alone it is a valued companion. I don’t use it as a flash light much because it’s a bit awkward, but in a power out situation the lamp sure is nice to keep on in the bathroom because I don’t like pooping in the dark. Mine has been on a Kayack with me, through thunderstorms hanging on a tree outside my tent, dropped, banged around and man-handled by drunks. The only casualty has been part of the antenna, although it still works. I just got a new one because I’d like to keep one fully intact.

Good small radio to keep around for emergency use; I'm in an area with a lot of storms throughout the year that can effect the power. Sound quality is not the greatest, nor is the selectivity of the radio but I was able to easily tune in the local NOAA weather station and several local AM and FM stations readily. It is a good tool to keep in the emergency preparedness kit, and has solar and hand crank as well. Also, it could be very handy in case of an emergency that the solar cell can be used to charge phones and other USB charged devices. I purchased a Freeplay radio years ago that was four times the price and did not have all the features of this radio. I can forgive the sound quality as its not something I am going to listen to everyday and it works well enough to hear emergency information and news if necessary or to use when camping.

Tiny radio. Sound isn’t that great but works. Hand crank is a nice addition as well as the option to use the LI battery or AAAs. Produces a decent sound and the lights are bright. Gotta test out the solar a bit but i got this for hurricane season

We got this to use during the wildfire blackouts we experienced last month. It did exactly what it was supposed to do. We especially liked, not only the radio itself, but also the reading light. It made what could have been a totally wasted evening much more enjoyable. The AM stations have a tendency to drift, but overall, considering the price, the small device did quite well.

Much smaller than expected, but I like this because it is easy to store. but is there when I need it in an emergency. Hopefully, I don't need it but its nice having the peace of mind just in case. The item seems well made. I am going to get another to leave in my car. The flashlight works well, I tried it out and its quite bright.

Easy to use. Ordered it AFTER a recent 36-hour power outage, so have not used the hand-crank to power the battery. But all features worked as advertised with the battery already charged. It will be extremely helpful in a future emergency.

I brought this to put in our emergency bag and I love it! It is very practical, light weight and compact! The small size is perfect for any size “To Go bag”! I definitely think this item will be a plus if we ever need it! I highly recommend!
