Adult content. Does not advocate violence. Man protecting family.
Everything with VIGGO is good but he does a personality switch in this that is amazing to watch. Gentle teddy bear to stone face killer. I rented several times before deciding I needed to buy it!

Enjoyable
Kept me on the edge of my seat. Some unexpected elements in a fairly well used plot.

Never gets old
I've watched A History of Violence countless times, and it never gets old! The story is intense, the acting is top-notch, and it keeps me hooked every time. It’s a gripping thriller that only seems to get better with each watch. Highly recommend for anyone who loves a well-made, thought-provoking film!

Good acting but writing was def B movie.
Starts out well, then degrades to a B movie. A bit unbelievable in spots. Usually gun vs flesh wins. But for the price, it was ok. I had been wanting to see this for years and I couldn't find it anywhere on streaming except Amazon. uying was a better option than renting as it was only a dollar more to buy.
