CHIMSOC - Balloon for Chimney - (Medium Rectangle 60cm x 30cm (24" x 12"))

I wasn’t sure a CHIMSOC Balloon for Chimney could make much difference, but after using it this past season I’m genuinely impressed. This chimney balloon is incredibly easy to install — just inflate it in your flue when the fireplace isn’t in use. It creates a solid seal that stops cold drafts, birds, and even dust from entering the living space. My room feels noticeably warmer and more comfortable

I bought this CHIMSOC Chimney Balloon to stop cold air from coming down my chimney, and I’m honestly amazed at how well it works! As soon as I put it in, I could feel the difference—no more draughts, and the room stays so much warmer. ✔️ Super Easy to Install – Took me less than a minute! Had this for approximately one month now and I have re-inflated it 4 times already hence I am disappointed as it is not doing the job as intended. I have been very careful to make sure the "balloon" has no chance of a puncture and use a small electric pump to inflate it as I did not want to have moisture/expansion problems associated with breath - it has made no difference. I do not know whether the valve is at fault or the balloon itself. I thought this would be a neat/convenient solution but now I may have to cut some OSB to insert instead. Therefore, I cannot recommend, it has been a waste of money.

TL;DR - the product really works, buy it!!! I bought 2 of these for the 2 chimneys in my apartment as it always seemed difficult to keep the place warm. Installation was as simple as shoving it up the flue and giving it a good hard blow in to the long soft tube. Seriously though, as soon as I put my heating on I could feel the difference. I could also hear the difference as I could always hear the wind/ draft coming from the chimneys, but after installing the balloon I can't hear or feel any draft and it's been pretty dang windy here! I immediately put my heating on and the entire apartment warmed up 2, maybe 3 times faster and it's seriously keeping the warmth for longer. Usually I'd get the place up to about 18°c before going to bed (I don't really like my place too warm as I've got plenty of personal insulation/ I'm fat as heck) and when waking up in the morning it'd have dropped to 10-11°c. Now, I'll wake up and even with outside having dropped below freezing and no heating on all night the thermostat is still reading at least 16°c. Last year was my 1st winter in this apartment and I was appalled at how much gas I was using just to keep it warm. Really wish I'd looked in to these sooner, but I'm looking forward to not paying out the backside this winter now I've installed these! 200% recommend!

Acquistato per bloccare l’aria che entra dalla canna fumaria del camino in camera da letto, ma, nonostante lo abbia gonfiato col compressore più volte, dopo averlo posizionato, si sgonfiava e cadeva. Ho provato 3 volte e poi mi sono arresa e l’ho riconsegnato. Assolutamente inutile.

Cercavo qualcosa per chiudere la Canna Fumaria in attesa dell’istallazione l’anno prossimo del camino… idea carina, ma purtroppo la valvola di chiusura non tiene bene, e ogni tre giorni devo rigonfiarlo, perché cade.
