Fantastic value for money, and very fast!
Famous last words, but who could ever need more than 2TB of boot disk...? Bought to replace a 128GB SSD boot disk that I was sooooo bored with nursing along and trying to keep enough free space. I used the excellent Macrium Reflect (free!) software to clone my 128GB drive while it was still running to this new disk. As I expected, there was some fun and games persuading Windows to boot from the new disk, with a fair bit of moving disks around in the BIOS setup. Eventually it worked and the difference is fantastic. The previous disk was a pretty decent (for its age) Samsung SSD that would boot Windows in around 8 seconds. The ADATA takes two seconds... OK... if you only reboot your PC once a month this saves you 72 seconds a year, but the point is that this disk is *lightning-fast*. Now that I have all this space I have moved my most-used apps to this disk and the launch speed is notably faster. Highly recommended and great value.

ADATA 2TB XPG SX8200 Pro
I set two of these up for my new nuc8i7hvk and just to say that without touching BIOS they were recognised immediately. The attached picture shows Crystal mark scores on par with advertising. formatting is obviously denting but is about 10Gbs less than my old SATAs. Read/write speeds are as fast as 1.5Gbs (I have seen) in real world usage, but does slow down on complex files, this however is true of all drives. Overall I am happy as I took a gamble as Adata is a new company (about 18 years old). There drives are well reviewed and highly rated and are a good cheaper alternative to Samsung which I was originally considering.

Seriously Good SSD
Not much to say really apart from this drive is well worth the money and is seriously fast, you will not be disappointed if purchasing.

Great value for money performance drive.
Great value for money. Great performance. Works at stated speeds. Don’t be drawn to the big brands when this is just as good.

Replacement for Samsung EVO SATA SSD
I had reviewed several M2 drive before settling on this one for an ASUS B350F motherboard. It's an older board and I have happy with the performance of the drive over the last day. Benchmarks are showing real sustainable writes of 1500 which is around 4 times faster than the samsung replacement, 4 times the capacity and the same price that I paid for the Samsung a few years back. This drive will be used for running VMs in the main. So, it's a good purchase that I am happy to recommend.

It works well but don't get caught up on the numbers - advice on installation in this review...
I needed more space (MS FS2020!) so replaced a SATA SSD 1TB Samsung Evo with a 2TB ADATA put into MVE slot on motherboard. You will need a spacer to support the card itself (comes with motherboard or buy one from, errr, Amazon perhaps) without this YOU WILL DAMAGE/crack the board if you are not careful. Once you register the product you can download Acronis free cloning software (you get a free code). I recommend you DO NOT do the default method of cloning within Windows, instead let it create a boot setup on a spare USB drive, then boot your PC from that. I tried the former first and almost ended up with a dead machine because it did naughty things to the boot sector then wouldn't put them back. The Acronis software is appalling. Really appalling. Firstly I had boot front, data middle and recovery end. I resized by hand boot and recovery which left a huge unassigned at end which I could not add to data. The way to do this is to move the free space to BEFORE the recovery block at the end, then you can grow the middle data block to take that over. NOTE you CANNOT enter numbers into the boxes, the Acronis software just goes nuts. Instead drag the slider in the graphic above the numbers (took me a long time before I realised that) to move the data around and change the sizes. Then it worked! It warned about GUI (or something like that) not allowing you to boot from new drive but a modern motherboard (4 years old) jsut worked fine anyway (I ignored that). CLone takes a while but when done boot up swap that boot drive in BIOS and then you are done. Speed-wise the old SSD was fast and I have notice no discernible difference in performance despite the blazing fast transfer times. If you move up from a HDD you will see insane benefits, but from an SSD only if you're throwing large videos around. P3D and MSFS 2020 didn't seem any faster - these games are not bound by disk speeds it would appear (maybe it's a tiny bit quicker to load, but not a lot). Also boot time (compared to SATA SSD) were no faster (in fact they can be slower for technical reasons). If you are replacing HDD - go for it, insane performance. If you are building a new PC - go for it, nice format, easy setup, simplified system. If you are just wanting more space when you have an old fashioned SATA SSD and you have an MVE slot - go for it. If you want to make your machine faster because MVE transfers are not rate limited by SATA - then think very hard as it probably won't any difference unless you do a lot of big file work, videos etc. Good product all in all.

Buyer beware - specs vary and no support
This drive potentially offers good a performance/value ratio, but with major caveats: actual performance will vary, no UK support and my unit failed with no warning after 18 months. Firstly: your performance may vary. SSD brands regularly replace the memory chips depending on availability, and performance can vary as a result. For lesser known brands such as ADATA, that variation may be significant. See the Tom's Hardware story of December 2020 about this very item "Not-So-Solid State: SSD Makers Swap Parts Without Telling Us", where later revisions of the product had worse performance than original reviews. Secondly, my unit failed after 18 months. This can happen with any electronics, but it failed completely (no longer recognised by the PC) and very fast. I had only used a fraction of its stated endurance. Thirdly, customer support in the UK is non-existent. Be aware that you will need to exercise your guarantee through Amazon, after a tortuous process of trying to contact ADATA customer support and getting a "not interested" reply. Overall this drive (and similar) may be worth buying for a good deal, but be aware of the caveats.

I bought this in the max 2TB flavour because new PC games are getting bigger and bigger. I was torn between this and the market-leading Samsung 970 Evo plus PCIe gen 3 (2TB). I see no rush to get PCIe gen 4 just yet. I also decided to stick on the tiny heat sink provided, as I saw no harm. I had trouble getting the M2 screw, and had difficulty getting the screw into place, but that’s all part of the fun. I was also torn between replacing my five-year-old Samsung 850 Evo SATA III SSD 1TB as my system C drive (which was the first 32-layer 3D NAND I was able to find on the market, and which is still fantastic) and making this new NVME M.2 a drive dedicated just for game installations. I am glad I took the second option. Separating your game installations on a separate drive from the operating system seems to be marginally better for performance. At the same time, the old SATA III SSD still loads Windows pretty fast. Now over-modded Skyrim save games load in a “flash” (pun intended) instead of taking half a minute to load, and no more need to agonise over what to delete if I get the latest 100GB+ game.
