Here are the text instructions found on the packaging:To create an ice block at home, pour warm to hot water in an extra-large and deep freezer-safe pan, and immidiately place in freezer. Allow to fully freeze before use.Check that the blade is in proper position and close the ice shaver.Using a large ice block or thick ice sheet, press down and slide the shaver across multiple times.Open the lid and remove the ice directly into a serving cup. Repeat until desired amount of ice is made.
