SmartTravel Travel Products Inflatable Lumbar Support Pillow for Airplane & Office – Firm, Adjustable Back Cushion for Long Flights

I bought this for a long flight to Europe and it worked out perfectly for my back and neck providing just the right amount of support I wanted for each area. First follow the directions on inflation. I did this two days before my scheduled trip. It takes firm pressure to get the air out so it fits back into the mesh case but the elastic band provided to keep it rolled up helps to keep the deflated pillow in shape to fit into the mesh bag. Be sure to close the valave which is so easy you might think it will not work but it absolutely does. When it’s time to use it just unroll open the valave and I blow in just a little air . Close the Val e and see how it feels on the intended area. If it feels too firm or full just untwist the valve and squeeze out a little air. Keep repeating until you get the desired fullness. If you change area from back to neck just use the same process to fill or let out air . I loved that I could get exactly the right amount of fullness that I wanted so I could move the pillow from one location to another. It was so easy to use. Definitely worth the price for the flexibility you get along with ease of transporting in a carry on tote. I also plan to use this on car trips or for sunbathing if I need a little pillow. Cudos on technology that works !

I bought this on Prime day in July. I'm a digital nomad working in cafes and in various homes as a house sitter. I sit a lot working on my computer all day and it's rare that I find a good computer chair. This pillow is super easy to inflate and deflate so it doesn't take up a lot of space in my bag. It's very light. The bag is great for keeping it separate from all my other stuff. I like the clasp to put it around a chair so it doesn't move. And my back is so happy now. I even used it as a pillow once and slept great. Highly recommend!

I really like this travel pillow and use it for back support. Inflation is very easy, just open the value and massage it a little bit and it inflates. Putting it back down is also very quick, just putting pressure and it deflates without much effort. The only downside is that it's just not tall enough for me. It's wide, which is great but it would be better for me if it were a little larger/taller. I will keep using it along with my Tempur-Pedic travel pillow - why not?! If I had to leave one of them home it would be this one. Overall it's fine, just not perfect. But if you want something smaller (especially to carry it around) this would do the trick.

A phenomenal lumbar pillow for travel: I have spondylosis anteriolithesis and will have this issue the rest of my life so I am learning how to maintain my active lifestyle while making adjustments, to not further aggravate my back. This pillow is now part of my life. It’s size makes it easily transportable (whether traveling by plane, car, train, restaurants or even using on chairs/ couches that lack support etc.. I have 3 of them . 1 stays in my car, the other attached to my roller bag and one in my husband’s car, so I am never without. The other great thing with this lumbar pillow is that it has an elastic strap that fits on luggage handles and goes over chairs, so it stays in place. It’s also inflatable so you can adjust it to the amount of support you need/want. I hope you find it as helpful as I have.

I have both C-curve lumbar scoliosis, as well as bulging discs and foraminal stenosis at L4-L5 and L5-S1. When I was preparing to fly for the first time through Spirit, AND only bring the one free personal item bag, I knew I’d have to figure out an alternative to my usual lumbar cushion for the flight. I spent a while searching for an inflatable lumbar support that could also be worn so that I could wear it hidden under my hoodie, and this was the one with the fastest shipping since I ended up not having the money tordier until right before my trip. I’m 5’ 7” and 220 pounds with a belly left over from my five kids, but I was able to wear this around my waist under my hoodie on my return flight since my personal bag was overstuffed. It was a wee bit snug, clearly only meant to fit around the seat not the person, but it was nice that it was always in exactly the right spot on my back! It actually ended up being more comfortable than regular lumbar cushion, but cost a little over half of what that regular cushion did! It’s super compact, roughly 2.5 inches around and about 4 inches long, so it’s super portable compared to a traditional lumbar cushion, my bag was just so small that my snacks purchased before the airport took up too much space! It’s not cute like my Scooby Doo lumbar cushion, but to have designs would negate its compact size which is so clearly important for this. For a “gotta take what I can delivered in time” buy, it ended up being a really good choice and definitely deserves its quick delivery options!

Just received and had to write a review. With the attached belt, you don’t have to keep shifting it up and down. Inflates and deflates as described. (I am reviewing on the perspective of lower lumbar muscle discomfort.)

I wanted to love this pillow but found it hard to adjust the air inside to find my comfort level. I also found it difficult to deflate to be rolled up for travel. I will roll it to its smallest point when traveling but I feel that I will be jeopardizing the integrity of the product. We will see. The covering is good and gives a warm sensation when using it which is nice. It also stays in place well. It is also good that it inflates automatically. Would I recommend this lumbar pillow ? I don't think so . I would continue to look for a better product.

This pillow does come in handy for travel. I have spinal issues and this provides great support for long plane rides.
