Tart Cherry helps calm the pain from irritated nerve ends. Been using this for a few years and have done well with the lower back pain from a couple dislocated discs. It's an intricate part of my daily 'cocktail'. Swanson has the cleanest products at excellent prices.

I bought this product as it was recommended as a natural way to reduce the amount of uric acid produced in the body, which is the primary cause of very painful gout flare ups. I have used the product for about three months now. I rate this product three stars, not because the product is ineffective, but because I've only used it for a very short time. I can say I haven't experienced any gout related issues and will continue to use this supplement for a year. I will report back in October with an updated review.

My husband is taking it for his gout and it works. I am taking these for my osteoarthritis in my knee. Still waiting to see if it does anything.

My mom suggested these vitamins for minor joint pain in my knees and it's working well. I take one pill each morning. They are easy to swallow. No funny taste.

My son gets gout in his ankle from time to time. He read some where on line that if you take tart cherry once a day it will help with not getting the flareups from the gout. He has been taking them daily and so far so good. He hasn't had any problems. :-)

My mother who has had severe gout , takes this every day and her gout has not returned . She will never give it up , whether it really works or not , I am not certain but she is.

The Tart Cherry has been a wonderful help to me. If you have gout this will stop the pain from that by just taking 1 pill in the morning and 1 pill in the evening and I am pain free. It is easy to order here on Amazon, it is a great price and if you cannot take the prescription as I cannot this is the best thing. It really works.

Purpose is a bit vague, perhaps I have missed something. I have jut taken 2 capsules, without anything noticeable happening. What are they supposed to do?

This order of Swanson Tart Cherry arrived two days after I ordered it. This was ordered for one of my clients to try who was complaining of having gout in his big toe. The medication that he was taking, wasn't helping much with his pain. I ordered it for him and as soon as it arrived, he started taking it right away. He has been taking it for nine days and have found that it has definitely helped with his pain, tenderness and swelling. Before taking the tart cherry capsules, he found it very difficult to put his sock on and if the bed linen touched his toe the pain became quite severe. I suggested that he should also make certain changes to his diet by eating more vegetable protein and drinking a lot of water. I think taking the capsules and also making some dietary changes have helped.

I researched this cherry before getting it and found out it's more popularly known as sour cherry and that a popular use for it is for treating fibromyalgia. I'm constantly looking for herbs and supplements to ease my fibro tiredness and achiness. The fact it's packed full of antioxidants and is anti-inflammatory, and it also apparently can help regulate sleep as it contains melatonin, sold me on it!I've only been taking this for a couple of weeks and haven't been taking the top dose, as I get acid reflux and cherry is quite acidic so I am taking one a twice a day, not two as advised. I was quite surprised you are meant to take two twice a day, considering the price this does make this quite an expensive supplement to take at the optimum dose, if you take two twice a day you actually only get enough for 30 days in one bottle. So bear this in mind, although if it's a miracle supplement I'm sure you'll find it worth it.The cherry itself does sound like an amazing powerful fruit. Reading about it is sounds like a proper superfood! I've never heard of it before which is interesting that it's known for treating some issues I've had. So far I haven't felt any significant improvements in how I'm feeling. It's hard to judge on supplements as you should give them up to three months to work, so persevere if you want to actually give these a shot. I might feel a little bit less tired maybe, but there has been no change in my achiness unfortunately. Only time will tell! I've not experienced any side effects but again make sure not to take them too close to bed time so I don't aggravate my reflux when I lie down.The caps are about the length of a 10p piece and are smooth and easy to swallow. I'd say they are pretty tasteless, and they are a really cute baby pink colour.Overall I'd say this is a quality supplement and worth giving a shot if you suffer from any inflammatory disease or have sleep disturbances or issues staying asleep. Apparently it can also be used for gout, digestion, muscle soreness, high blood pressure and more! Definitely read about it before you buy it. Swanson are a good brand too, so you can trust they'll give you quality, high strength ingredients. It just loses a star due to the amount you need to take making the cost fairly high.

These are capsules so were very easy to swallow as gels and capsules are always easier than tablets, I find. I couldn't detect any odour and they were tasteless, I was expecting to taste and smell cherries but I couldn't. They are a lovely shade of pink, though.The main benefit of these capsules is that they are supposed to be good for gout, I don't have gout but I gather that they can also be used to treat cystitis because of the crystal formation. As an exam invigilator and supply TA, I have a very unhealthy job as I can't just go to the loo as and when needed so I don't drink as much (or any) water and frequently end up in pain because of it. We've just started on the latest round of mock exams and I was in all day yesterday without being able to have a drink of water, I was off today but did still have a bit of pain from yesterday. I took one of these and also one of the cranberry soft gels and the pain is gone now. As long as this continues then I'll be happy to dip in with these gels (and the cranberry ones) as and when needed when I'm working. I don't think I would take them all the time, just when I need them.There are 120 capsules in the tub and it says to take 2 twice a day, so these would only last a month at that rate and at a price of £23.99 at the time of writing this review I think that is quite expensive, which is why I have deducted a star as it limits the number of people who can afford to even try these. I only took one today and I am happy with the effects, so if I don't have to take them all the time they might work out to not be too bad value for me. I will have to play around with these and the cranberry soft gels and see what works best for me but so far it looks like one of each per working day.
