Beat my neighbors at their own game.
Ever have a neighbor with a dog that just won't shut up? We do too. They used to tie their purebred bloodhound up to a tree all day and night. Now that they installed a fence, they just open their door and let their dog in the backyard to bay, bark, wail, howl, and whine 24/7/365. Ever been forced to listen to a bored bloodhound? The bay and whine and howl at 130 decibels. If your window is open you can't watch TV or have a conversation in your own home. It's literally as loud as a jackhammer.Purchased this with an NPC sonic dog deterrent and now the only thing we listen to is the sound of silence. Bonus, the combination works on all the dogs in our immediate area. HIGHLY recommend this for combating lazy irresponsible dog owners.

Great megaphone for the price
I purchased this for occaisonal use at a school country fair, field day etc. and potentially other events in the future. I used it to announce a race on a ball field and everyone could hear me well. It's light enough to carry around yet pretty powerful. I read the other reviews and "fixed" the problem of having no clip for the microphone feature by using a large velcro dot to attach it to the base when it's not being used. The song is ridiculous - I'll never use it. The siren actually is piercing and gets everyone's attention. Worth the money for the reasons I bought it.Amazon had it to me within two days - I always select Amazon Prime and prefer Amazon.com as the seller for that reason.

Worked great for rounding up kids
The handheld mic is nice so you don't have to hold up the horn for an extended period, however I'm not sure how long it will last as it literally looked like a toy. It is plenty loud and the siren is a great feature. Wish there was a better strap system. You can put it over your shoulder, but the clasp tends to move and there's no real comfortable way to have hang off your shoulder. That said, I haven't seen anything else better as far as the strap goes. Note that it uses 6 D batteries, which seemed a bit overkill for me, but if you want the output I guess it's necessary. All in all, for $22, it's well worth it. I'm sure you could spend a lot more money, but we only use it a handful of times throughout the year.

Big Sound from a Smaller Package
I am a soccer coach and needed a megaphone to replace an older 25 watt (much more expensive megaphone). This 40 watt Pyle megaphone was exactly what I was looking for. I did not want to spend a lot of money for something that I would only occasionally use, so I decided to give this megaphone a try.The description on Amazon says the sound will travel 800 yards and the box says 1,000 ft. All I know is that this unit is very powerful and will definitely be more than I need for what I am using it for. The audio is adjustable and there is a police-like siren and a built in classical music track that can be played. As a teacher and coach, I have found out that students and people in general respond better to a spoken voice that is amplified vs a voice that is unassisted and straining to get louder (the strained voice is perceived as yelling at them rather than speaking to them). One thing that I instinctively went to do was pull the trigger on the megaphone to speak into it and found out that there is no trigger on this megaphone. There is a plug in handheld microphone that is included with the megaphone, so not having a trigger is no big deal (this probably helped to cut down on production cost). I think the handheld mic is cooler anyway.Bottom line is that I would definitely recommend this megaphone for the casual or semi-casual user. We will see in time how well it holds up (Pyle does offer a 1 year warranty if you register the product online.)

Decent...
The product serves it's purpose but it has a few annoying setbacks. I used it once for an event with about 30-40 people and it worked really well. The only problem is the compartment that keeps the batteries in is SUPER cheap and it's designed in a way that if it's bumped it will open and the batteries will fall out if you are holding it wrong. Besides that I was carrying it and I sware nothing was touching the button to open the battery compartment and the batteries just popped out and fell all over the ground multiple times. This megaphone is pretty cheap for it's price, but it's cheap for a reason. I highly recommend going for something more expensive.

This is excellent!
I got this to calm down noisy upstairs neighbors who cause alot of disturbance starting every night at mid night and it continues until about 5 am so during the day I put on the alarm or make annoying sounds with the volume all the way up and I put it to the ceiling or on a vent and let me tell you I have been getting my full rest at night now it works well because its loud especially the alam feature along with many complaints to the landlord and police I would really reccomend this megaphone
