Willow Weaving

The book itself is nice. The color photos are bright and there are some neat projects however, I was looking more for a step by step how to and this is not it. There are very little actual directions.

Yes, get this book and make your yard look nicer and inexpensively. It's a very basic how-to book but you will need to adapt your projects to what you want to make and there's enough info there to do that easily enough. Very interesting use of willow. I'm using the book to make hanging baskets for flowers and to make comfy sleeping hidey-holes for my cat.

I bought this book because it was recommended on a willow nursery website. If you like cute little projects with recipes then this is for you. I was hoping for inspiration and basic knowledge to turn my yard willows into environmental masterpieces. It's thin in actual size too. It does have pretty pictures on nice paper.

This is an excellent "how to" book, with good illustrations & clear directions. Very nice! Excellent quality. Shipped promptly & is exactly as advertised.

Item feels more like a booklet, less of a book. It's bound well and printing is good, but overall the book is a poor choice for most people I'd say.Booklet includes a bunch of tutorials on weaving tasks, but most of them require purchasing things such a metal frames, additions for things like the birds and I was really disappointed that almost none could be done without buying something else, it definitely felt like a cash grab, and I'm really disappointed I purchased it.Booklet includes no information for new users on how to do soaking and other basic tasks, so I found that it ended up being a poor gift for someone just starting out. The tasks included were however very well illustrated and well directed.Overall, poor for such an expensive book, and I'd advise people to look for something else.

Not quite what I was hoping for. I am a novice weaver (went on a day course and came out with knowledge of how to make dragonflies and lanterns) so wanted more ideas along similar lines. Most of the things to make seemed to involve buying extra items eg legs for birds, metal frames for display baskets, rocker for a horse etc which I felt defeated the object of natural willow weaving. I would have liked a little more basic information on how to fill in a 3d body shape. That said, I have made a butterfly and it is not too bad although quite a faff. I don't think I will be making anything else from this book.

a selection of craft projects. Quite unusual but not general enough for me. I was looking for some good quality advice on sculpting with willow. This just takes you through a number of projects, some of which are not possible without getting hold of unusual things such as an old fashioned pram frame.
