This thing RIPS!
This thing RIPS. I loved RC cars as a kid in the 90s. That section of Toys "R" Us was my go to. But they were so expensive, most I ever spent was around $80. And that was a pavement car (half as fast as this DeeRC), no grass. This was $60. 4 wheel drive with positrack. Giant tires and decent shocks. It scoots through and over just about anything, it jumps through 8' of air. Ramps every curb. Crashes and just keeps going. I want another, bigger version now.Only had it about a week at this review, but I feel like if it was going to break it would have. It's gotta break sometime with the abuse it recieves.Couldn't be happier with this purchase. Will get another DeeRC car when this one does break.Edit: it broke. Ran at least 20 batteries through it. One of my kids ran their brick of a car into front passenger wheel from side. Breaking off the top control arm mount from gearbox cover. *sad face*.Good news, enoze makes replacement parts for the PX 9500e (this body style car). They have a direct replacement for $6, or an aluminum version for $12. Currently waiting on the aluminum version.

Fast, well made, fun
The media could not be loaded. This is not a toy, unless you're a mature teenager or a teen x5! (That would be me). This little hot rod gives the fun and thrills that you normally only watch on TV. It screams on asphalt, and slides through turns in dirt. It handles jumps with aplomb, but it's also got enough traction and clearance to be able to move along smartly in short grass and even leaves. The four-wheel drive, aggressive tread pattern, and plentiful torque make it a sure-footed scrambler on uneven, near verticle terrain. It took a few runs to graduate to having the throttle and steering on max. At that point it's a wild ride, but controllable with a steady hand. I found it actually more fun, but less terrifying, to turn down the steering and throttle to about 2/3. However, it also breaks up the sameness of a ride by going full tilt and trying to modulate your twitchy response when it starts to head for a tree or the ditch. The controls are well thought-out. The steering trim needed a little tweaking on my model, but was well-placed with the knob at the top of the control unit. Similarly, two other knobs adjust the responsiveness of the steering and throttle. Those, too, are handily placed at the top of the handheld control unit. It is easy to make adjustments at any moment you desire. It is well made with real oil filled shocks and a sturdy underside to the chassis.. Independent suspension and four-wheel drive make it surprisingly stable over bumps and rocks.Having an extra shell is a bonus on two counts. You can either decorate it to your liking or keep it over the stock shell and protect the finish. Likewise it comes with two batteries which is a real plus.I found the battery life to be surprisingly adequate. 20 minutes per battery is a pretty good run.I was asked to evaluate this car, and here's my unbiased evaluation…PROs: It is a large RC model as these things go. At 1:10 scale It doesn't look like a toy, and it doesn't act like one either. It is light for its size, yet sturdy and well made. I appreciate the fact that the motor is equipped with air cooling fins in order to prolong motor life. It generates a lot of very quick torque and jumps off the line when you hit the throttle. The steering is as responsive as you want it. At max setting it can do tight donuts and even slide turns in spite of its four-wheel drive. The interchangeable body makes for ease of replacement if you somehow do catastrophic damage. Likewise, there is a full complement of parts available should you need them. The battery life is more than adequate. The speed gets up in the high 30s which, for its scale, approaches 300 miles an hour. It feels like it.It has good range. It showed no signs of losing control when it got as far out as I was comfortable with. I would guess that was approaching 100 yards. At that point, at 30 mph I was on the verge of losing control myself.CONs: Its Shell is very light and thin. It feels like it could develop a tear. After repeated crashes and rollovers, however, it has not shown anything but a few light scuffs. The cotter pins that hold the shell on and also lock the battery in place are a bit of an annoyance. The holes the pin needs to go through are just slightly larger than the diameter of the pin. I don't see any reason why the holes couldn't be a larger diameter, and I may actually drill them out with a fine drill to make the cotter pins easier to insert and remove. If there were no throttle and steering adjustments, it would be too twitchy to be fun, in my opinion. The adjustments make this car fit your reflexes and need for speed.Overall, I was very impressed. I think an 8-year-old could handle it, but it seems more appropriate for a teen or adult.

Teens loved it.
It doesn't seem to go as fast as listed, but it's still pretty quick and fairly durable. For the money, it's a pretty decent rc car. It is pretty loud.

Great Fun, Features, and Quality for the Price Point!
The media could not be loaded. To start off, I have a variety of 1/10 scale RC's in the $200 - $350 price range so I lowered my expectations a bit when deciding to purchase the DEERC 9206E. I was interested to see how a lower priced unit handled and held up to off road use (as with any level of RC vehicle, you will damage and break parts eventually during off road use). This model peaked my interest as it was 4wd, had a decent max speed rating, came with 2 batteries, has an extra body,, and had headlights.I received it in one day via Amazon Prime and it came packaged quite nicely. Don't be alarmed when you only saw 1 battery in the box... Just take off the body off and the 2nd battery will already be in the unit. Like any new RC, make sure you read the instructions before use to ensure the best experience (which the instructions had very adequate pictures and brief explanations... Not a long drawn out encyclopedia... This was nice). When I took off the body, I was pleased to see it had a metal driveshaft and metal axles/cv joints (I was not expecting that). Also, the bottom of the chassis is solid and will protect the inner workings quite nicely. It was also nice to see that parts that could break (due to normal use) were easily replaceable and it had a parts diagram so you can easily identify parts you would need to order. Now the controller... It will work nicely with different sized hands and the trim, throttle, and steering adjustments are on top for easy view and access (compared to some remotes that have these on the side, which can be prone to getting bumped).Normally I will charge the batteries first, however I thought I would see how long it would last out of the box... I was impressed, I actually got a full charge session (I would not always count on that as it depends how long the item may have sat at the warehouse). Keep in mind that once you charge the batteries for the first time, you will have better performance. Now, on to the driving experience... Had to make a minor steering trim adjustment (to be expected on any RC), however what impressed me was the fact I made the minor adjustment and flipped it a few times and ran it through rough terrain and it never went out of trim. This unit is also very durable as after almost an hour of hard rough terrain driving,, nothing broke. In terms of the product description stating this was fast... I am use to having some brushless motor RC's so this is not that fast yet it did perform quite nicely. Being that it is tamer than a brushless RC, it helps manage driving in rough terrain (as you don't want to over throttle it). It was also nice to have a steering angle limit dial too. Both limit dials allow for you to dial in the RC for various types of terrain an levels of RC experience. In terms of the headlights on this RC, I was quite impressed by how bright they were (considering the price point of this unit). It makes it really easy to see in low light and dark conditions. It would be really cool if they added taillights to this too (which you could do yourself). The battery life was as good as the description states (maybe a bit longer use in my case).Bottom line, I would buy this RC again!!! I highly recommend this to others as it is a fun 4x4 RC. It would be a great RC for kids and beginners (and even others with previous RC experience). I am definitely going to look at other DEERC offerings too (now that I have seen the quality and features at this price point).
