This book has is missing a lot of content
Cisco, oh cisco.. The subterfuge is impressive. This book does not cover all the items in the exam. Perhaps have the same person who wrote the exam, write the test. hmmm

ISE lab is a MUST to go along with the book
The book seems to be thorough. However, you must have access to ISE lab to follow along. I would also suggest reading “Practical Deployment of Cisco ISE...” by Andy Richter.

Not good for coverage of current exam, needs an update.
This book is a good overview overview of the main ISE functions however it is now very out-of-date as the exam posts questions on ISE 1.3, 1.4 and 2.0 which is not covered in this book. Additionally the MACSec section is very lacking in detail so I would advise you to study more into how it works and the various protocols, key methods (etc) work. Additional it doesn't cover anything to do with TACACS or ACS both of which I've had questions on for the exam.Unless you want to attend the overly priced training courses this is probably the only available study guide but do not use it as your only reference. Make sure you're up to speed in a lot of more minor details (e.g. timeouts, purging cycles) all of which can be found on Cisco's website in the administrator guides and how tos. In many ways if you read all of those and the protocol overviews, you'll be better prepared that what this book does for you.

good but but does not prepare you sufficently to the exam
The book is very well written. covers extensively ISE topics and is fun at some point to read.My only note for giving 3 stars is because is based on ISE 1.2, while the exam is based on newed version (2.1 and newer).ACS questions are completely left out but asked during exam...

As always Amazon was good but the book was not
As always Amazon was good but the book was not. I was disappointed by this book, it does cover some of the items in the exam but does not live up to the standard of other Cisco press books. The content is well written but tends to repeat itself and did not go into enough depth for me,
